I must admit when I ordered this TV antenna I didn't have high expectations. I am trying to downscale my ever growing cable bills so I started using different apps to fill my viewing needs. Some apps are free and others have a small fee but I have found a way to watch all the programs I really enjoy. All except my local channels. I began searching for a tv antenna about a month ago and with the extreme variety and prices from cheap to outrageous. I became overwhelmed almost every time I tried to find what I needed. I came across this antenna and because the price was shockingly low I finally took the leap and ordered this one. Now the low price made me think it probably wouldn't be all that great but my main objective was really only to get reception for my local NBC, CBS and ABC stations . The description says it is an amplified antenna and in the past I have had some success with this type of device. The product page does not show the part which amplifies the signal in the pictures provided so I crossed my fingers that it actually would be an amplified antenna. When the package arrived my first thought was....Its so small ! It does have an amplifier so I put the antenna in a window and plugged the long (10 foot 7 inch) coaxial cable which is wired into the antenna and has the screw on plug at the other end into the amplifier part. Coming out of this amplifier on the opposite side are two shorter cables. ( 19 inches ) One is a USB cable which you can plug into the tv if you have an available USB port on the back or side of your set. If you do not have one available you can plug the USB cable into a 5v ac adapter (phone charger plug) and then use your home electric outlet to give the amplifier the power it needs to do its job. The other cable is a coaxial which screws onto the back or side of your tv for the antenna input to your set. When you use the USB port on the tv, it only provides the power needed when you have the tv turned on. If you use an ac adapter and house electric the antenna amplifier will stay powered up unless you unplug or disconnect the power supply. Once all your cables are connected you will need to go into your tv's setup menu and run the "find channels" for air and digital signals. This process takes a few minutes to search and set the channels up in your tv. When I ran the search, I stood right in front of my tv screen to watch and see just how many or few channels it would actually find and connect to. I WAS AMAZED!! I ended up getting 56 channels and all of them come in with a perfect picture just like you would get if you were subscribing to a cable provider. I get my 3 local channels I wanted as well as their affiliated "sister" channels. I also get a lot of movie type channels, 10 or so Latin channels, religious channels, game show channels, shopping and more! I have had no disconnections since I started using this device. If you are looking for a way to get your entertainment and local news fix without a large cable company bill every month I would suggest you grab this antenna now! Like I said in the beginning of my review here....the price is very low compared to other antennas out there and without seeing the actual amplifier in the pictures I was very concerned that I may not get what I was looking for. But Great things can come in small packages and you don't even have to pay a fortune for them sometimes! Just installed antenna which was super simple and once I searched for channels. I was able to find 80 channels which really shocked me. Reception was great and I found all my local abc, nbc, cbs and pbs plus many more. I highly recommend this hd antenna. You will not be disappointed buy it now and cancel your cable subscription. From my TV to a nearby window it is a bit of a distance but this very inexpensive antenna comes with a nice long one. I am getting a nice clear picture and additional channels. Highly recommend it. A friend recommended to me and I have bought two.

For my kitchen TV, I can watch all air channels up to 22 out of 30 in this south border area. I get many channels from Mexico city and from the USA. Image is cristal clear and steady. I guess people in other regions will get tons of channels. Great product!

This antenna is easy to install, crystal clear picture reception, local channels + a lot more! Very, very happy with this product. I have internet only and was missing local channels but tired of paying for cable. Think I will order another one for my tv in my bedroom.
