  • This thing really gets a lot of channels
It is a great little antenna, the power booster it has really makes a difference, got a lot of channels from my area, except for one but that one is also hard to get anywhere else so it might just be something with that particular station.

  • Worked Very Well While it Worked
I bought this Freeview antenna in March of 2022 for my office becauses I use an Amazon Cube for tv and the local channels for news aren't on the cube. I hooked it up and stood it up on my bookshelf about 6 foot off the floor. I ran the auto channel search and it picked up about 28 channels. It worked flawlessly for a little over a year but a couple nights ago I was watching tv and it suddenly went black with a message that the signal was too weak to pick up. I changed channels and it's the same on all of them. I re-ran the auto channel search and it didn't pick up anything. To make sure it wasn't something with my tv I carried the antenna to the bedroom and hooked it up. By the way the light on the booster still comes on. After 2 channel searches I get nothing. I guess these are only good for about a year before something burns out inside. ... show more

  • Went with a cheaper Brand to see if it worked and It does
I decided to go cheap after seeing some online YouTube reviews because one of them compared a $3.99 antenna with a range of price point antennas and said it pulled in most of the stations with a few fuzzy channels. Couldn't see spending $50 on a Leaf or other models cause I tend to be cheap. If it didn't work I could always buy another. I read that the limit for reception is 80 miles because of the curvature of the earth and Amazon features a lot of Antennas that claim 100-200 miles, which is impossible. Also impossible, 4-K. Free view stretches the 80 mile limit too., claiming 130 miles. New ATSC technology is supposed to be coming out that can extend ranges, etc., , but you can bet it won't be in the $50 and under price range. I hung the Freeview near a window in our bedroom and it pulled in all the channels in our area including UHF, and most of them were crystal clear. The Freeview comes with an amplifier, which I think helps. I don't like draping the cords along the wall, but I draped it above the bedrooms patio door and to a window. It is sensitive to location and I found it didn't pull in behind the TV, when I wanted to see if I could hide it. . Depending on where you need to put the antenna, you may have better or worse results than me, but what the heck. For $16 bucks you can't go too wrong. My only suggestion: Offer it in white, please. All of these antennas seem to come in black. I don't want a black antenna hanging on a white or beige wall. ... show more

  • This one works well (mostly)
The antenna is small and easy to put into place. I tried it without the amp and it was much better than any we have had before. It found 55 channels on the first scan and received nearly all of them. A few were not fully captured and a slight move got those to working but lost several of the ones that did work. Interestingly enough just rotating the disk could change what was received? So I left it where I could turn it ever so slightly and put it on a high shelf next to the TV so it could be turned as needed. I did use the amp as that made things worse. (we live in a strong signal area so more is not always better!) Thanks.. I would give it 5 stars but it needs a mount to make turning on the wall easy.. :) Some stations just want the cord coming off one side or the other center down works for most channels... turned just a little left or right gets the stations that don't even have a picture with the cable down. ... show more

  • Indoor HDTV Antenna Review
Background: I have had used all kinds of antenna to watch public broadcast my entire life. When it used to work with just tweaking the 2 antenna on top of your CRT tv back in the days. I also have netflix account and other streaming devices but those cannot replace the live channels I watch like NBC, ABC, FOX, CBS, PBS, etc. I update/upgrade my antenna every now and then when the reception becomes an issue. This review is based on comparison with the amplified antennas I am currently using in different rooms and multiple property. Review: I bought one of these at first to test it out. Since its performance surpass my expectation, I order a couple more for each of the rooms in the same property. Each of their performance only amazed me. One of my living room had the best reception with my previous antenna with 90+ channels. With this antenna, I get over 100 channels even in one of the worst rooms at the top floor. Now the guestroom in the baseman got the least number of channels at 60+ with this antenna, and I am not complaining. It was getting 2-5 channels with my previous 2 versions of amplified antenna. I don't know how bad it is for those reviews claiming that they cannot get the channels they expected. I see there are more powerful version of this same antenna available. Otherwise, I doubt that your issue can be resolved by any kind of antenna because this is the most powerful antenna I have ever seen. My experience tells me that this antenna will give you a lot more channels than whatever you are getting now. ... show more

  • Surprisingly Good Antenna for the Price (NW Indiana - Basement Use)
I wanted an antenna to use in my basement. As the technology has gotten better, I was surprised to find this one at the top of a list when I searched for "Best HD Antennas for the basement". I got it, and within 15 minutes, I was watching HD channels. I live in NW Indiana, and from the east side, I was able to get 11 stations, most which I believe are from the South Bend area. I had to run a cable to extend it to the west side of my basement (my TV is under a glass block window on the east side). I put the antenna on the west glass block window and was able to pick up 36 stations. Not all of the stations came in, but I was able to get Fox, and I think an ABC station out of Chicago. Mostly, I got this for watching football. I plan to try this on a north window of my second story to see if I can get all of the 4 major stations (ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX). Being near Chicago, I was able to get WGN out of the west as well as 2 "MeToo" stations. For less than $20? WORTH IT. ... show more
