I wanted a cover that would protect my screen during storage and fit correctly. This cover fills both of those needs. I read too many complaints about the hard plastic Garmin cover and glad I went this route. The cover is a soft silicone that protects the front and sides of the display. It also has a 1/8" lip on the back to keep it place. I do not know if it would stay on if a boat were going full speed and it did not have anything to block the wind, but few covers could. Great so far protecting my fish finder, I take it out after every trip and store in truck but protects good. It fits tight so probably would be fine on mounted unit going down the road but it tucks on back so cant flush mount finder if you want this to fit over it. I made a plywood dash to sit it in when we fish and if I furred it out about 1/8" or alittle more the cover would fit in while in dash. ... show more
