Review Image by Digital Swagg
I've been an audiophile ever since I can remember. I've always had custom sound systems in my car and high end quality systems in my home. I've owned dozens of Bluetooth speakers over the years and with my recent projector purchase I needed something superior. I browsed the soundbars and the pricey ones weren't waterproof, were elongated and not easy to transport to various other areas of my home. Some of the major complaints people had of the other devices were connectivity and failed pairing. I came across Turtlebox and read all the rave reviews and it sounded like a company that just got it right. The price was within the same range as the other devices I was looking at however with lots more features. Turtlebox Ranger is waterproof, has handles, also has magnets and a superb sound quality. Out of the box the packaging was impeccable and the battery was already 90% charged up. I have several other less expensive speakers, one that lives in the kitchen, another in my bedroom and one for the bathroom. Turtlebox is replacing them all and today I gladly carried it to each room while bumping some serious R&B, rap & hip hop tunes. The bass is definitely noticeable and the sound fills up the entire room without straining to keep up with the increased volume. I was even able to attach it magnetically to the side of my fridge and enjoy some tunes while I cooked. I purchased an Anker speaker a few months ago and needless to say I'm gifting that one to my daughter. Yes, $250 for a Bluetooth speaker seems a bit much but let me tell you it's worth every freaking penny. From the nice tan color, super fast Bluetooth connectivity, to the robust & durable build quality, the convenient carrying handle, rubberized surfaces and all the additional features definitely makes this a huge game changer. I'll be using this outside while lounging or while waxing my car. I am beyond impressed and can see myself purchasing this again and even for birthday or Christmas gifts for friends and family members. My one and only gripe which is probably limited only to me is that I wish there was a way to turn off the bright LED lights for the controls and power button. I use my speaker at night for sleeping listening to rainstorms, podcasts and YouTube videos. Since I have blackout curtains and my room is completely dark the LED lights tend to overly illuminate the area. Maybe in the future a cover can be incorporated like they have over the charge port or a toggle switch to dim or completely turn them off. This is definitely not a deal breaker and I would still 100% purchase this again knowing what I know now. I was able to use Gorilla tape on my other devices to block out those annoying little bright buggers. Nonetheless, this was an excellent purchase and I cannot recommend this product enough. I'm definitely a happy camper with only one very minor complaint but it's still a 5 out of 5 stars for me. Job well done Turtlebox. ... show more

    • Wish I would have purchased sooner
Color: Ivory Style: Ranger
I purchased many Bluetooth speakers in the past and this is by far the best one I’ve purchased. While the cost is a little more, the durability, the fact that it’s waterproof, the sound, the ruggedness, the magnets on the side to stick to many surfaces, the battery life, the ability to sync with other turtle box speakers are just some of the reasons that I’m a huge fan of this speaker. ... show more

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Sound Quality in a Rugged, Portable Package The Turtlebox Ranger has completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I turned it on, I was impressed by the rich, crystal-clear sound and surprisingly powerful bass for such a compact speaker. It gets incredibly loud without any distortion, making it perfect for everything from relaxing on the patio to outdoor adventures. The build quality is exceptional. It feels extremely durable and well-made, and the rugged, waterproof design gives me confidence to take it anywhere without worrying about the weather or accidental drops. The battery life is also outstanding—it lasts for hours on a single charge, so I never have to worry about it dying in the middle of the day. Bluetooth pairing was fast and effortless, and the connection has remained stable with no dropouts. The controls are simple and intuitive, making it easy to adjust the volume or skip tracks. If you're looking for a premium portable Bluetooth speaker that delivers incredible sound, rugged durability, and reliable performance, the Turtlebox Ranger is absolutely worth the investment. It's one of the best portable speakers I've owned, and I highly recommend it. ... show more

My friends have turtle boxes and they all love them so much! My fiance said something about loving them and wanting one. So I got it for his birthday! I’ll be honest the prices on these things are a little crazy. But I love the size of this one it’s easy to take places! Everything I’ve seen about them they’re near invincible, have great volume, I’m not sure about battery life just yet as I have to wait to open it. I also love the color of this one it was definitely my favorite ... show more

    • Premium feel, great sound—perfect for the golf cart
Color: River Rock Style: Ranger
First impression: this feels like a high-end product right out of the box. The packaging alone stands out—very well protected and not cheap feeling. I use this mainly for golf, and it’s been great so far. Got several compliments during the first round on both the look and the sound. It gets plenty loud, but what really surprised me was the bass clarity—most speakers this size struggle there, and this one doesn’t. The magnet is strong and holds securely to the cart, which is a big plus. It also paired instantly with my iPhone 16—no issues at all. Downsides: it is a little heavy. Not a problem on the cart (honestly makes it feel more durable), but something to consider if you’re carrying it in your bag. Battery life and long-term durability are still TBD since I just got it. Bottom line: yes, it’s a little pricey—but based on first impressions, it’s worth it. ... show more

Color: Ivory Style: Ranger
This is a very nice turtle box however be careful because mine moved and almost fell off the counter! Gives great quality sound, and the battery life lasts a very long time till it needs plugged in again. Nice and compact and can be sat anywhere.

    • Buy the orange one
Color: Orange Style: Ranger
Orange is where it’s at ! After reading reviews about the ranger I saw a lot of complaints on one of the colors and some defectiveness. But not the orange one it has been a great speaker. I have used it a lot more than I thought I would. Well worth the buy.
