  • Great product, shipping stinks
Great rubbing compound, takes out paint imperfections like it is suppose to for scratch’s and cloudy clear coats. The shipping of the product was rated as a zero by me. Why you ask? Well it was shipped in a envelope, NOT a box and NOT a well padded envelope. They used to put this product in a metal container ( that’s how long I have used this product ) but if you kept it to long it would rust out from the inside since the compound is damp. To solve this and probably for cost factors they put it in a plastic container now. But some how the shipping person for Amazon or distributor did not think the plastic container would crack in shipping if it was in a envelope. They were wrong and it did crack. 😳🫣🙄 ... show more

  • Does this stuff go bad in the air?
The compound works great. I’ve used it before and am really impressed each time. Only issue I had is the tub it comes in was cracked all the way across the bottom I taped it up and wrapped it Hope the air didn’t or doesn’t ruin some of the product

  • Gazelle VS car door
Went to a drive through African Safari, where, of course, a gazelle rose up on its rear legs, and brought its two front hooves down GRATING the paint on my driver side door. Knowing nothing about car paint, I assumed this would be hundreds of dollars of autobody work. After following the sage advise of my father in law, I attempted to use an older, well used container of this paste to polish out what I could. Turns out, I got about 90% of the 3-foot gouges out of my door. Amazing. This will only work on scratches in the clear coat, anything deeper will need much more work. Process: -wash/clean the door -rubbing alcohol to confirm the scratch is in the clear coat (if you wipe the scratch with RA, and it disappears, then your scratch is in the slear coat) -with a damp rag (I used microfiber), polish in small circles (maybe the size of a 50c peice) over and along the scratch -make larger, wider polishing circles around the scratch, to "feather" in the scratch correction (maybe 3-6 inch circles) -allow compound to dry, buff with a dry cloth -repeat steps 3-5 -finish with two applications of car wax (I will be using Turtle Wax, of course) ... show more
