I bought this for a totally non-car use. I saw tips on using it for both stainless/nickel fixtures as well as putting it on outdoor furniture to keep it from rusting. As soon as I put it on my faucets, the water marks disappeared and left a clean looking fixture. It was super easy to apply and rub off. I was thrilled! I even put it on my outdoor door hardware.
