*UPDATE 3 years in* Better than PS4/5 Gold with daily use even with new issue at 16 months in
Color: Green Camo
Review Image by R. Harding
**Update 3 years in** I wrote this review in 2022, after I had these for about 16 months and as I'm here BUYING ANOTHER SET in 2024, I thought I owed the company an update since they treated me so well, (my original review is unchanged below). UPDATE May 2024: I've had this pair since Feb 2021 and use them almost daily for hours at a time. Last night, they decided to retire and stopped working. This is no fault to the headphones, as I have logged over 3 years of use on a ps5 for both gaming and media. So I have just placed an order for a new set. I have had zero issues over the last 3 years, (they even recovered from the Destructo attack of my son almost 2 years), and could recommend them more. I am also increasing my rating to 5 stars because of how well they have treated me. I am pleased to see they are still available and haven't been discontinued. This is a no doubt must buy over any other model or brand. -- (Below is original review) I bought these in Feb 2021 initially as a headset mainly for steam but also to backup my PS4/5 Sony Golds (they aren't Pulse 3D), but I quickly moved to only using these for PS5. APPEARANCE: the camo is very slick and I cabinet them when I'm not playing so no clash with the PS5 blanco FIT: I've got kind of a big head I guess, wear hats 7 1/4 and usually have glasses on when playing and the fit is pretty good. They fit snug with good compression over you ears that cancels noise a bit better than the PS4/5 gold. The cord plugs into the controller of course so I wouldn't want it any longer for sure. SOUND: you won't think you have Cowin or Beats on because the range doesn't compare but you won't notice. I play almost daily and I am not disappointed whatsoever. I also use them to watch movies/shows including Narcos, Loki, Mandolorian, Marvel, etc and the quality is not lost. VOICE SOUND: I've asked and have been told I sound clear and chat comes in clear. CONTROLS: what's nice about this over the PS Gold is that the mic arm folds back flush with the head phones which mutes the mic. In some games, the PS5 controller mute button will mute all audio instead of just the mic. There's only one volume control, so no independent chat control. Also, unlike the PS Gold headset, when this headset is plugged in, it doesn't auto-mute your sound system, so you'll have to manually turn it down to stop concurrent audio. DURABILITY: the photo attached was taken June 2022, 16 months after purchase with semi-daily use. I play and/or watch 5-7 nights a week for 2-4 hours a night, give or take and that's how they held up. My prior PS4 Gold headset before my current one looked like chop suey in the same amount of time. My Cowin headset (for Bluetooth audio on non-gaming devices), gets daily use as well and is barely holding on and I think Cowin is the best out there. I do think these are very durable EVEN THOUGH the audio jack has the fated audio fade with positioning. They still work and I don't know whether to fault the headphones wear and tear OR my son's Mr Incredible reenactment with them a week ago, (the problem started same night so probably me son). PRICE: a steal, plain and simple. Look at the above to confirm. I wouldn't buy any other headset if you're not going all out for a $100+ set. OVERALL: I'm writing this review as I am perusing Amazon for a new headset to replace these due to the issue above, even though my PS Gold are in "perfect" working order, which says a lot. The quality of this set has me deeply pondering getting this over the Pulse 3D not only for the price but also the performance compared to the PS Gold sets I've owned. ... show more

Very nice for the price
Color: Green Camo
I got these for my son to use with his PS5. They work great. He says they feel comfortable to wear and there is no distortion at all. He can hear other players and gaming activity clearly and other players can also hear him clearly. He is very happy with them. And the price compared to some of the others is very nice. He also loves the camo color as it matches his controller. These also plug directly into the controller so that is convenient as well. Great buy. ... show more

I just couldn't give them a 5...
Color: White and Green
I really like these earphones for gaming. They're lightweight and rest easy on my head. I can wear them for hours and my ears don't hurt. The sound quality is great too. The only real gripe that I have is that sometimes when online with my brother the sound cuts out and he can't hear me nor can I hear the in-game sound. I think it's with the connector or something in the cable but I'm not an engineer or electrical or whatever kind of person I'd need to be to know for sure. Other than my one simple gripe I feel that I got a great headset at a killer price that works really well for me. Now note: I am not a hardcore gamer but I do use this to play Borderlands 3. So I do game, but I only play a couple times a week. Pros: Lightweight design doesn't weigh me down. The mic moves out of the way which is nice. The mic picks up my voice well. The speakers sound great. The mute works well for me. They don't hurt my ears or head after playing for a few hours straight. The cable is the right length. The pricing for this is great!! Cons: Sometimes the sound cuts out. ----- If you found this review helpful in any way, please click the 'Yes' button below. I don't receive any compensation for helpful votes, but it REALLY helps and it is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much! Diamond's Star Rating System: 1 STAR - Completely unusable, would request a refund 2 STAR - Meets minimum viable product requirements, wouldn't purchase it again 3 STAR - It does what it should, but in a non-spectacular way, I may recommend it, but definitely with reservations 4 STAR - I like it. It is solid quality and delivers as advertised, I would purchase it again and recommend it to a friend 5 STAR - I love it. It meets or exceeds all of my expectations and is high quality, I would purchase it again and would openly promote it to friends ... show more

Great Mic quality
Color: Blue Camo
These are very sturdy and long lasting headphones. If you take care of them, they will ask you forever unless you’re like me and wrap the cord around the bottom of the chair and yank it to try and get it undone. I love the variety of colors as they come in, I can wear them for hours And they remain comfortable. The my quality is super good. Never had any issues with it. This is on the top of my list for gaming accessories, and they are affordable for anybody turtle beach makes tons of different headsets ranging in price. You’ll always be able to find one in your price range and they are extremely reliable. ... show more

Great except for one deal breaker.
Color: Blue Camo
I like this headset a lot except for 1 big consistent problem. I am on my 3rd pair, the 1st pair one side of the earpiece support broke so they wouldn't stay on and Turtle did a no muss, no fuss return and I had a replacement pair in days - Bravo! The replacement pair broke in the same area, but it was out of warranty. Since I use them a lot, I will tale that as kind of normal wear and tear. I still liked them so I bought another pair. The earpiece support clamp that broke has a couple small screws that seem to loosen up and when I noticed it, I tightened them because that seems to be how it breaks, loosens then cracks as it flexes in ways it shouldn't. Okay so now I tighten them periodically which isn't a big deal if you know what to do, considering the price the sound quality and comfort of this headset I didn't mind. But there is 1 thing that may be a deal breaker: On every set, the volume wheel potentiometer seems to have a bit of a short and periodically 1 side will drop off and you have to spin or wiggle the volume knob to get it back on. In the middle of gameplay this can be fatal and extremely annoying. Probably and easy fix if they do some quality control on their potentiometer supplier but it's the last pair I'll buy even at the great price, comfort and sound - doesn't matter if it only works sometimes. ... show more

Need to hear footsteps, these are the ones!
Color: Black and Green
2nd set of these, constantly get comments on the voice quality, and can hear better with these than any of the wireless headsets I have ever tried.
