My 5-year-old ruined my previous headset by chewing on the mic. So I wanted to get a new one that's pretty cheap that if she breaks again I won't be too upset about. Perfect for kids. The mic is short so she can't chew on it even if she wanted to. The headset microphone is actually pretty good. I'll let her join the Xbox parties with me and my friends and even when she's crazy loud it seems to cut her off so it's not crazy loud and blown out sounding. They're lightweight which I like. The only real downside I've noticed so far is where the plug goes into the controller. If you move it a little bit. It tends to produce a little static which I never had in previous headsets but it's minor. Not a big deal ... show more

Turtle Beaches are some of the best! I love the flip down mic, the volume control on the ear piece and the easy to adjust ear cups. Cord is plenty long enough. Chat is clear, game sounds sound good and no feedback from mic.

I really like these earphones for gaming. They're lightweight and rest easy on my head. I can wear them for hours and my ears don't hurt. The sound quality is great too. The only real gripe that I have is that sometimes when online with my brother the sound cuts out and he can't hear me nor can I hear the in-game sound. I think it's with the connector or something in the cable but I'm not an engineer or electrical or whatever kind of person I'd need to be to know for sure. Other than my one simple gripe I feel that I got a great headset at a killer price that works really well for me. Now note: I am not a hardcore gamer but I do use this to play Borderlands 3. So I do game, but I only play a couple times a week. Pros: Lightweight design doesn't weigh me down. The mic moves out of the way which is nice. The mic picks up my voice well. The speakers sound great. The mute works well for me. They don't hurt my ears or head after playing for a few hours straight. The cable is the right length. The pricing for this is great!! Since I've always bought cordless gaming headsets, I didn't see a need for this kind, until dealing with a popular FPS game, that continued to have audio problems with a specific model of a headset from this same company. Knowing the quality of Turtle Beach, allowed me to purchase this one. Personally for me having to wear glasses, I am happy with the comfortable ear muffs. Sometimes playing long game times, these allow comfortable game play. It doesn't squeeze against my head. Decent quality sound, a good mic that allows you to easily flip it on and off, long enough cord to connect to your controller and an easy to use volume control too. Only drawback compared to higher level units, is having only one sound control, you cannot separate gaming sounds from voice sounds. Overall, these are a good choice for a comfortable gaming experience, with good sound quality at a good price. ... show more
