**Update 3 years in** I wrote this review in 2022, after I had these for about 16 months and as I'm here BUYING ANOTHER SET in 2024, I thought I owed the company an update since they treated me so well, (my original review is unchanged below). UPDATE May 2024: I've had this pair since Feb 2021 and use them almost daily for hours at a time. Last night, they decided to retire and stopped working. This is no fault to the headphones, as I have logged over 3 years of use on a ps5 for both gaming and media. So I have just placed an order for a new set. I have had zero issues over the last 3 years, (they even recovered from the Destructo attack of my son almost 2 years), and could recommend them more. I am also increasing my rating to 5 stars because of how well they have treated me. I am pleased to see they are still available and haven't been discontinued. This is a no doubt must buy over any other model or brand. -- (Below is original review) I bought these in Feb 2021 initially as a headset mainly for steam but also to backup my PS4/5 Sony Golds (they aren't Pulse 3D), but I quickly moved to only using these for PS5. APPEARANCE: the camo is very slick and I cabinet them when I'm not playing so no clash with the PS5 blanco FIT: I've got kind of a big head I guess, wear hats 7 1/4 and usually have glasses on when playing and the fit is pretty good. They fit snug with good compression over you ears that cancels noise a bit better than the PS4/5 gold. The cord plugs into the controller of course so I wouldn't want it any longer for sure. SOUND: you won't think you have Cowin or Beats on because the range doesn't compare but you won't notice. I play almost daily and I am not disappointed whatsoever. I also use them to watch movies/shows including Narcos, Loki, Mandolorian, Marvel, etc and the quality is not lost. VOICE SOUND: I've asked and have been told I sound clear and chat comes in clear. CONTROLS: what's nice about this over the PS Gold is that the mic arm folds back flush with the head phones which mutes the mic. In some games, the PS5 controller mute button will mute all audio instead of just the mic. There's only one volume control, so no independent chat control. Also, unlike the PS Gold headset, when this headset is plugged in, it doesn't auto-mute your sound system, so you'll have to manually turn it down to stop concurrent audio. DURABILITY: the photo attached was taken June 2022, 16 months after purchase with semi-daily use. I play and/or watch 5-7 nights a week for 2-4 hours a night, give or take and that's how they held up. My prior PS4 Gold headset before my current one looked like chop suey in the same amount of time. My Cowin headset (for Bluetooth audio on non-gaming devices), gets daily use as well and is barely holding on and I think Cowin is the best out there. I do think these are very durable EVEN THOUGH the audio jack has the fated audio fade with positioning. They still work and I don't know whether to fault the headphones wear and tear OR my son's Mr Incredible reenactment with them a week ago, (the problem started same night so probably me son). PRICE: a steal, plain and simple. Look at the above to confirm. I wouldn't buy any other headset if you're not going all out for a $100+ set. OVERALL: I'm writing this review as I am perusing Amazon for a new headset to replace these due to the issue above, even though my PS Gold are in "perfect" working order, which says a lot. The quality of this set has me deeply pondering getting this over the Pulse 3D not only for the price but also the performance compared to the PS Gold sets I've owned. ... show more

I really like these earphones for gaming. They're lightweight and rest easy on my head. I can wear them for hours and my ears don't hurt. The sound quality is great too. The only real gripe that I have is that sometimes when online with my brother the sound cuts out and he can't hear me nor can I hear the in-game sound. I think it's with the connector or something in the cable but I'm not an engineer or electrical or whatever kind of person I'd need to be to know for sure. Other than my one simple gripe I feel that I got a great headset at a killer price that works really well for me. Now note: I am not a hardcore gamer but I do use this to play Borderlands 3. So I do game, but I only play a couple times a week. Pros: Lightweight design doesn't weigh me down. The mic moves out of the way which is nice. The mic picks up my voice well. The speakers sound great. The mute works well for me. They don't hurt my ears or head after playing for a few hours straight. The cable is the right length. The pricing for this is great!! If you're looking at this its because you're on a budget. let me assure you these headphones are excellent for the price. I was fully impressed in the quality of sound (note the bass aint impressive but thats really not what you should expect this to do) and the comfort of the cups. Easy to access Volume Control and the mic picks up sound almost too clearly. Only points you NEED TO CONSIDER before you buy this. 1. The Size of your ear and head. - Now these fit me perfectly with an average head and relatively big ears. You need to understand that the padding on these headphones are not deep, so if you have the ears of Will Smith, they might be cramped in there. If your ears are pointing outward they might hit the speakers inside. So I'd say this will fit 9/10 people but know your ears. 2. Cable Length: No way around it this Cable is not long. If you need to plug this into an input that's say, near your feet or in the pack of a pc, this will be a stretch and you may need an extended adapter to make it work. 3. Mic Response. This mic works GREAT but as a mic the issue is that background noise will com through on the mic. So make sure you use these in a relatively quiet place or have a Mute button handy. ... show more
