The TurboClip 89123 Starter Clips greatly simplified the installation of the first Trex row and kept that first deck board from getting any screw holes in it. They seem to be sufficiently strong and installed easily (I made a simple jig out of a small block of wood and a wider flat metal joining plate to run along the rim joist so they would be lined up on the edge). There have been some negative comments on the supplied screws but the ones I received were certainly sufficient for a strong attachment. ... show more

    • Wish they would include more screws
You may notice that these are both a starter and stopper clip. You will need to get more screws to use them as stopper clips since using them as a stopper requires 2 screws. You need just as many starter clips as you do stopper clips so I'm not sure why they don't send them with enough hardware to run half as starter and half as stopper. At nearly a dollar per clip/screw I think they could save people a trip to the hardware store and just throw in 6 more of these tiny screws with each pack ... show more

In my opinion these are overpriced for what they are but they were the only readily available. They are stainless which is good for corrosion but they stick out with the darker trek boards
