Love how it has some structure to it, so even when it’s empty it is fully expanded and easy to fill. Wish I hadn’t waited several years to get this bag; it’s relatively expensive compared to average bags, but the quality and utility more than make up for the cost.

After carrying around a bag with a strap, it was time to upgrade to a backpack style with the change to my commute. The shoulder strap was comfortable when carrying the bag for short distances. With my commute being on foot, I was looking for a solution that provided a more comfortable experience while walking. The backpack is very high quality similar to all TUMI products.     • Terrible Not-TSA friendly backpack

I opened this bag and within minutes of opening it knew this was not going to work. For one thing it only opens partly at the top on the laptop area which makes it difficult to fit anything but a slim laptop into the bag. Secondly, the bag isn’t tsa friendly and doesn’t unzip fully which means you will always have to take laptops out when traveling with this bag. Thirdly, petty as this is, I returned this bag 5 days ago and still haven’t received a refund. Thank goodness I didn’t get this bag monogrammed since it’s not returnable if you monogram it. Be aware if you buy this bag and travel a lot in airports that it’s not TSA friendly and you’ll have to remove your laptop if you travel with it and that if you do need to return it the process seems extremely long to get a refund. Would recommend buying and seeing in store first before buying after this experience. Never would have thought I’d be writing such a bad review about a Tumi bag either; I’ve always had really good experiences with their laptop bags and totes before.
