  • Great value.
If you have issues with voles/mice around your garden & house-good stuff. Great longevity. Smell seems to be good for the vermin. They eat it-so the taste must be ok. And it keeps them away-so the toxicity is ok too. Over all great functionality.

  • Effective and lethal.
I have been using TomCats Mice and Rat Bait blocks for many years. This is my second time buying the 4lb pail for control of the vermin. Our home backs up to a densely wooded area where all manner of wildlife live. This bait is effective in keeping the rodents out of my home and yard. They smell like peanuts and last through many bites. They cause the rodents to perish due to thirst. The first cold front comes this week and I had to re-bait the traps around the perimeter. ... show more

  • Rodents eat it and die like clock work. I tried it on gophers, they don't like it.
This works very well, the rats eat it like candy, and disappear, sometimes die the wrong place, but what are you going to do. Great price for 4lbs. and has lasted me a year with mice and wood rats showing up all the time on my 10 acres.

  • It Works…Quickly and Effectively
Got Voles? I sure do. Every freakin where. These guys moved in, and decided wherever they were before, they weren’t going back. Along with the mole infestation, it’s a nightmare. Got a couple of baby cats, and they’re barely knockin a dent in this thing. After some heavy, and most likely a butt-ton of unnecessary researching, I discovered a couple of things. One was, I had to decide what my goal is. Do I wanna kill as many of these little punks as I can? And how humanely can I do it? I wanted a poison to work quickly and effectively. This is not an anticoagulant like other poisons. It works on the nervous system, and they generally don’t need to feed more than once on it. I paired these cakes with my J.D. Eaton bait station, and they hold up to 4 of these. Supposed to be peanut butter scent or flavor, but I can’t really smell it that strongly. The station, by design, prevents accidental exposure to other animals that it can be fatal to if ingested. I recommend fixing it to something securely so that other wildlife can’t run off with it. These things aren’t meant to just throw out in your yard randomly, and are highly toxic to wildlife and humans if ingested. They work, and they work well rather quickly. There’s no mess to clean because they take it all back with them to their little buddy’s. Make sure to check where you’ve placed them, often though. I had an infestation to deal with so it’s taking time, but this stuff is working, because I’m seeing a decrease in activity. It’s a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend this to anyone looking to contain mole/vole/mice activity outdoors. ... show more

  • Does the trick. Animals die
Wish they were stronger but not sure it's allowed by law. They do work and effectively kill rodents of all sizes. Big rodents will consume quite a bit. They must be flavorful because EVERY animal will eat these so keep away from animals you want to keep alive

Mice eat it up. Good results.

  • Really works
Next door neighbor has a shed on blocks. Provides a perfect home for the roof rats we have in the neighborhood. I’v been using this bait for a couple years and it keeps the population in check. Some tips: 1) wear gloves when handling the traps and the bait. If you use bare hands your smell will linger for days on both and keep the rats away. 2) Be patient after you first place your feeding stations. It took about 10 days before I saw evidence that they were entering and eating the bait. Rats are leary, and will take a long time to acclimate. 3) This bait will sometimes attract slugs due to the grain content. If that happens, replace the bait. Once it gets slug gunk on it I don’t think the rats eat it anymore. 4) I only occasionally find a dead rat. They don’t often die out in the open. However, the lack of any activity in the evening, and the bait chunks that remain longer in the station that are partially eaten is pretty clear evidence that the number has significantly diminished. And finally, 5) Don’t expect once and done. Maintaining the stations with fresh bait is ongoing to keep rats from reinvesting the areas you are trying to eradicate them from. ... show more

  • Economical and effective
I had been using this brand from big-box stores, but they only sold it in smaller quantities, along with the bait station. This bait is attractive to rodents. It actually smells good to me, too--no wonder they seem to like it. I have also been using these chunks as bait in my cage traps (it's less messy than peanut butter). Does it work? I can't tell directly, only that eventually the bait chunks last longer in the bait station, which I interpret as rodents having died in the shrubbery. ... show more
