This umbrella surprised me by how well built it is. It's strong and has helped me get through an unusually rainy spring and summer. I didn't own an umbrella previously because we typically don't get enough rain to need one. But this year I had to break down and buy this one because of the unusual weather. It's made it through a marble sized hail storm with me! Granted, I was able to seek shelter indoors for most of it, it did take a handful of hail-hits and also would have broken/blown inside out if it wasn't as well made as it is. The design and materials of this umbrella are premium. AND my favorite part is the style - I purchased the black umbrella with blue skies underneath and it makes me smile each time I open it. I bought the Blue Skies umbrella…looked pretty in the pics and was just as advertised when I got it. Got to test it out on a rainy windy day recently and it worked well. It does open very quickly and there is a reason it came with a warning to not open by anyone…unless you are being robbed then aim at them! Lol. Would recommend. ... show more

On the heavy side for an umbrella but the cool, dark shade underneath is most appreciated on a 90+ degree day. Looking forward to the rainy season to see how it holds up under a Pacific Northwest winter.

I brought this because I needed a strong umbrella that I could toss into my purse. This product is perfect for that. It's compact and light weight and doesn't invert when the wind blows. I love this umbrella as it has blue skies and a few clouds on the inner side when you are using it. It is very handy to use, easy open/close and it’s automatic.
