Description

With two sleepers in mind, we designed the Mint with an extra layer of foam, cooling ceramic gel, and reinforced edges to provide additional pressure relief and help reduce motion transfer so that you and your partner sleep better independently of the other's temperature or movement. In combination with our contouring, patented T&N Adaptive foam‚ which is open cell and infused with graphite and additional cooling gel for breathability and heat- wicking‚ the Mint provides medium-firm, responsive support for a deep, restful sleep. The addition of a removable, washable cover makes it easy to keep your mattress extra clean.

Biggest reason I wanted to write a review here is to let people know to give the mattress at least 2 weeks to break in, and for your body to adjust to it. The first 3 nights or so I was regretting my purchase and disappointed, thinking I’d most likely have to return this bed. But I found the little pamphlet that comes in the box that I had not seen initially where Tuft & Needle recommend giving it at least 2 weeks for your body to adjust. So I thought yea might as well give it some time. Quite literally within 2 weeks I was getting better sleep and enjoying the feel of the mattress much more. And with each night honestly it’s gotten better and better as my body is getting used to the mattress and the mattress breaks in more. It’s definitely on the firmer side, so note that. BUT there is a softness there as well that forms very nicely to my body. I’m growing to appreciate the support of the firmness mixed with the subtle softness that cradles me. I am a female at 5’4 height and 120 lbs. My partner is 6 ft and about 210 lbs. For my partner, he loved the bed from the first night he slept on it / he adjusted very quickly. For me since I’m lighter I needed time for my body to weigh into the bed more so I can feel that soft middle layer supporting me. I actually had him sleep on my side a few nights to break the bed in faster! It was most difficult to adjust to sleeping on my back. This mattress works well for side sleepers. Both my partner and I are combination / back and side sleepers. I sometimes lie on my stomach too. I think overall this bed is great for couples, and for a foam mattress, the edge support is awesome / it doesn’t feel like you’re gonna fall off when laying on the very edge, even for my partner who is a pretty big guy. I've had this mattress a week now and could not love it more! I have degenerative disk disease and after sleeping on a Tuft and Needle mattress at an Airbnb, I decided to take a closer look at them. I'm sleeping better without the waking when I turn over, less pressure points, just overall a more comfortable sleep. It expanded right away, the picture was taken no more than five minutes after cutting away the plastic. I noticed no smell whatsoever either. I could not be happier with this mattress! ... show more

This mattress is not medium firm as the description says. When you lie down on the mattress, it will sink in like a memory foam. Please do not trust other reviews that say it is too hard that lead me to buy it. It is actually super soft if you like that. I don't like to sink in. The description of medium firm is misleading too so be careful! I suggest better to buy in person rather than online but one thing i noticed is that Amazon customer service helped with setting up for a return pickup by a third party making my return easy! ... show more

The Mattress we purchased was the T&N New Mint Mattress with removable cover (not the hybrid). It arrived two days earlier than expected. Inflated to almost 100% in less than 10 minutes (see picture taken right after opening . Absolutely no smell associated with mattress. This is the 2nd Mint Mattress we have purchased and we would purchase it again. My teenage and early twenties kids love the feel of this mattress. They prefer softer, plusher mattresses. As much as I love the concept, I may decide to exchange it because the mattress cover is not sewn on correctly. It's wonky, askew and required unzipping the top to allow for the foam to completely expand. The top portion that is removable to wash is tighter than the base portion of the cover, which cannot be adjusted to make everything line up correctly. That is why I gave it four stars. I’ve had this bed for 3 months now and I like it a lot! I love how firm it is for still being a memory foam, bed in a box. I do notice it kind of starts to sink because I sleep on one side so I’ve rotated it twice just for the heck of it. I would say it’s a little pricey for being a bed in a box….

I've had this mattress, for which I paid $1,200, since June 5, 2023. It was SO comfy at first and I awoke with no back pain at all... until about a month ago. Now there's a depression in the middle where I sleep and my back is very painful every morning. So, I got less than six months out of it for $1,200. :( ... show more
