Bought this as an alternative to the down feather pillows I've had and been loyal to, for years. This pillow is quite a contrast, much more head support, it just might be the thing needed for mild sleep apnea. It cradles my head nicely in any position (back, side) and also provides very pleasant, very nice neck support. I think I maybe saying byebye to the feather pillows soon. I am not an impulse buyer by any means, but saw this on Amazon Prime Day specials, and for $41, gave it a try -- I'm glad I did. I like that the cover comes off and is washable. It's quite perky and holds its shape; a positive addition. I noticed I'm sleeping deeper with less tossing and repositioning during the night. It's a supportive, comfort purchase I'm quite pleased with. July 2026 - I'm back to say I still love this pillow. Actually look forward to laying my head down on it at night!

Lacking* support

The pillow is well made and has a pleasant texture, but unfortunately, it lacks adequate support. When I rest my head on it, it compresses significantly, providing little to no push back/support. With a thickness of only about 2 inches when I lie down, it’s not suitable for my sleeping preferences as a side and stomach sleeper. While it may be one of the softest pillows I've encountered, it feels almost hollow inside (its not it just feels as if the foam on the outside is more supportive than the foam in the middle). At 6'2, I struggle to find a comfortable position that doesn’t strain my neck. I’ve tried folding it for added height, which improves comfort somewhat, but then it becomes too thick. For reference, I usually find pillows too firm, but this one feels more like resting my head on the mattress or my arm. If it were twice as firm, I believe I would enjoy it much more, as it currently allows my head to sink too deeply, basically bottoming out on the mattress. I do not recommend this for anyone who has large shoulders, or just a tall build in general. When I lay on it like a back sleeper my head does fully sink threw and ultimately rest directly on the mattress. Its just too soft to the point where it offers virtually no support what so ever. ----- After using this for about 20 days my opinion of it has changed, I generally sleep well with it, it is still overly soft I wish it was more firm and had maybe 1 inch more of head lift too it. Genuinely than I feel it would be perfect, it just took some time to get use to the thinness of the pillow and while I do feel it is still on the thin side I've come to like it more, however I still do believe an extra inch worth of lift would absolutely make me love this pill while my neck is relatively straight while using it it ever so slightly slopes down. I've given the pillow two extra stars after nearly 3 weeks of use, the neck pain I got at first was transitional but I do feel it could use ever so little more support for my build. ---- Had this for over a year now, still use it nightly, opinions of support hasn't changed it is a good pillow, I do like it, still wish it had a little more lift but its the first ever foam block pillow I could actually stand at night. I'm very picky about my pillows once I find something which works I sleep with it/keep buying replacements until the model is discontinued. All in all I would buy this pillow again.

Finally found comfort after years of searching

I suffer from chronic migraines and severe neck arthritis that causes painful spasms. I've spent a fortune on pillows hoping to find relief, and used to switch pillows multiple times per night trying to get comfortable. After several weeks with the Tuft & Needle pillow, I haven't been tempted to switch even once. It feels incredibly soft yet provides excellent support without being rigid. The loft is perfect for cradling my head and neck. While it hasn't eliminated my pain (likely nothing will), I'm finally comfortable at night, which honestly feels like a miracle. Highly recommend for side sleepers dealing with neck issues. This pillow has given me something I thought was impossible: a full night's sleep without pillow switching.

Genuinely happy with this pillow. I don't wake up and adjust nor do i need to fluff it out. I haven't noticed a difference with the coolness/heatness level but i haven't been sweating in bed as often as i used to. It comes in small and you cut up the plastic and allow it to expand, much like their mattress. This is a very comfortable pillow, albeit a bit expensive for what it is. EDIT: So after sleeping with this for a while I wanted to update my review. I left my old one for comparison. This pillow has lost almost all heft to it, I feel. I don't experience neck pain however when i'm sleeping, I find myself more often than not waking up to adjust the pillow just between my neck and head so that i can sleep on my side comfortably. There is less than an INCH of pillow when my head is weighing down on the corners. Not a fan of that at all. In terms of heat? It's like literally every other pillow, no noticeable difference. For the price this thing was? NOT WORTH IT. But it's still a comfortable pillow so I won't be throwing it away anytime soon. But I don't agree with what I paid for it and I warn anyone else thinking this is some sort of more special pillow than the rest. It's not.

I’m not a regular reviewer. But honestly, this pillow is my savior. It’s soft. It’s soft but supports my head. I have cervical stenosis and disk issues, and I’m over 60. As we age, we crave softness due to pressure points. Well, I need support too and this Tuft & Needle pillow is awesome.

You will lose more than just sleep

Poor support and really softened a lot with use for the first few months. plus it slept pretty hot, I recall waking up more than a few times just so I could have some relief from the swelter of the foam. the other awful detail about this pillow, the foam loves to grab your hair and pull it out while youre tossing and turning. I kept feeling a weird tickle every time I went to bed on my face and neck. could never figure it out as I had tried vacuuming my pillow, using new pillowsheets, lint rolling it and even the classic rubber glove static lint removal technique. it wasnt until I took a look at the foam itself that I realized it was embedding with hair it had stolen straight off my head! If that wasnt bad enough, this pillow also got softer and less useful in only a few short months. now I use it as an extra cushion for my cats bed. such a disappointment.

I hate to admit this but I can’t count the number of pillows I’ve bought over the yrs hoping to find the perfect pillow. I am loving this pillow soooo much that I HAD to write a review! I spent the night at my daughter’s home and slept on her Tuft and Needle pillow. When I saw it I thought it wasn’t going to be a good night. But honestly to my tremendous surprise I had the best night of my life! Absolutely NO neck pain or headache in the morning which I usually have every morning with my other pillows. Plus it stays cooler thru the night! I really feel like my head in laying on a soft cloud - a literal cloud! I will NEVER buy a different pillow than my Tuft and Needle pillow!!! It’s well worth the $$$$!!! Highly highly recommend this pillow! And it’s a heavy pillow but don’t be concerned. For some reason it all works! And I love my silk pillowcase on it!!!
