It is perfect for my needs. I needed something that would cover a bad drain install that is off center and recessed down approximately 1/3 of an inch, plus catch hair. This does both. I don’t see the terrible off-center drain and it stops hair from going down. The top is quality metal with plastic underneath. My son has stepped on it a few times and the plastic has not broken. He is 3 and about 30+ pounds. It fits perfectly in the circle part of my drain and looks like it was made with the drain to give it a nice look. Only knock I can give this (and this is partially unique to my situation) is that when both shower heads are running is slows the drain enough that water backs up. However, this is because the top of the drain is recessed so far down and should not be. If the drain was not so far down causing the Tub Flo to sit almost flush with the outer piece of the drain, it would allow plenty of water to flow and still look nice. This thing is WONDERFUL. It’s big enough to go over my drain or, I imagine, most drains. It does it’s job beautifully - catches hair (I have long hair and it sheds whenever I apply conditioner!) It’s SUPER easy to clean. Pick it up and just wipe off the hair with a tissue. You can tell when it’s time to clean it out bc the water doesn’t drain as well. There is NO installation. Open ye packing and put the thing on top of your drain. VIOLA! I wish I found this product sooner! ... show more

    • This works great and easy to clean
I was so disappoint at first as the edges didn't touch the drain, and floated over the drain pop-up so it didn't catch any hair. It was too short, when I remember the drain cover unscrews. Once I did that, the hair catcher fit properly and caught all my long hair. If someone wants a bath, I just screw the drain pop-out back in. I've tried many different types of tub hair catchers and this one is the easier to clean and maintain. It seem to catch a lot more hair than any of the other styles I've tried. ... show more

I am very happy with this product. We recently had our bathrooms remodeled. In the guest bathroom, we got a new bathtub/shower combination. It is lovely, BUT the drain was very close to the front edge of the bathtub. I tried using two different products to catch hair, but neither of them worked as they were more for drains further away from the edge of the bathtub. We absolutely need to catch hair because we are on a septic system. This protect works! I simply unscrewed the stopper/drain that came with the new bathtub, and I replaced it with the Tub Flo Hair Catcher. I do keep the original stopper/drain in a little cloth bag so that we can use it for baths, for grandchildren when they come and want a bath. ... show more

I wasn’t sure about this product but thought it was worth a shot. I have very long hair and I’m always digging wookies out of my drain. It worked!! You couldn’t even tell until you picked it up that it had accumulated a ring of hair around it! Easy to clean and re-install. Excellent product!

This is a sleek alternative to the typical hair catchers I've used in the past. As someone who lives in NYC, the pipes in my apartment building are very old and easily clogged. My roommate and I (both long-haired women) have been the culprits in the past of our landlord pipe woes. Well...not today, Bob. It is simple to “install” the hair catcher. Our tub wouldn’t take many of the insert models, so this works perfectly and sits on top. It catches on the hair and requires cleaning about once a week. But it does the job and keeps hair out !
