These drain covers work great to keep hair out of bathroom drains. These come in a 5 pack, but you really only need one per shower as long as you clean it weekly. Or you can remove it from the drain to dry in between showers. If you don't it will get mold and mildew on it. I've had mine for several months and it has for sure reduced the amount of hair clogging the drain. The colors are cute too. :) ... show more

Title: Affordable and effective, but it won’t catch every single hair Overall, I’ve been happy with these drain strainers. The pack comes with five, which makes them a good value for the price, especially if you have multiple sinks or want replacements on hand. They do a good job of catching hair and helping prevent buildup in the drain. In my experience, they capture most of the hair before it goes down the drain, which makes cleanup much easier. The only thing to keep in mind is that they don’t catch 100% of the hair. Because of the small openings in the design, some strands can still slip through. I would estimate that they catch around 85% of the hair, which is still a significant improvement compared to having no strainer at all. For the price, I think they work well and do what they’re designed to do. Just don’t expect them to completely eliminate every hair from going down the drain. ... show more

I wish I could give 3.5 stars because I would. So this thing is a silicone circle with a flat/smooth side and a side with little teeth. There are holes in the center that drain the water. There’s no installation, you simply lay the circle on top of the drain. I have hip length hair that’s pretty fine. By the time I’m done in the shower there’s hair on the walls, in the drain, on the curtain, and basically everywhere else. CONS: The catcher doesn’t sit well on surfaces that aren’t flat, so if you are using it for a bathroom sink or an uneven tub/shower, it won’t work. The holes in the top of it are huge, so if you have fine slippery hair, it’s very likely it won’t catch all of it. It also prevents the water from draining quickly to the point that it looks at my feet. This isn’t a huge problem for me, it’s just kind of annoying. PROS: The price was great and it comes in 5 different colors and you get 5 catchers. It’s a good deal. You can wash one while using another or if you have multiple drains you can use a few. It did catch SOME of my hair but not all. Once I applied conditioner and my hair was super slippery, some got past the teeth on the top. Finally, it’s super easy to use. You literally just set it on top of whatever drain you are using. Overall, I’m not mad at it but I’m not jumping with joy. I will continue to use them since it did catch some hair. However, I wouldn’t recommend them to a friend or repurchase unless I was superrrr desperate. ... show more

So this is an item you need but just don’t want to talk about. If you lose some hair when showering , these drain strainers are a must! They are sturdy and allow water to flow, while stopping hair from passing throw and clogging your pipes. They are not sticky, but stay in place when moved. The rubber material does not damage your shower/tub. Removing ALL the hair from the drain strainer can take a few extra moments at times, but it’s better than having to unclog your drain or pipes. I used these in the showers as a hair catcher. I agree with another reviewer, these do an "ok job" of catching hair, but I feel they would do better if they sealed around the edge like a suction cup AND the edges lay flat. When the catcher is installed with the stumps/legs facing up, the outer edge's shape is slightly curve up. The curve up doesn't allow the hair to go over the edge to get caught in the stumps/legs. ( I guess it would go over the edge if there is slow drainage.) Some of the netted area to allow the water to drain is too wide to catch hair. Installation: There was no instructions as to which way to lay the catcher onto the drain. Should the stumps/legs be pointed down onto the tub or facing up towards the ceiling? I found facing up works best. Cleaning - not easy. The hair intertwining between the stumps/legs is hard to pull off, especially since the catcher doesn't catch most of the hair lost. I would not buy these again. Possible if this product's holes/netted area had smaller holes, it would be a better catcher. I wish I could find the catcher designed that was sold at a local vendor. The design has a round bump in the middle about 1" high that has small holes to drain and catch the hair. The flat circle around the bump is 1-2" wide. The flat surface stays in t's installed position allowing the hair to slide over it's edge to reach the round netted bump to stop the hair from going down the drain. These might work well for non-shower drains; I haven't tried using this product elsewhere in the house. ... show more

In case you're stupid like me, I'll just inform you that these do NOT work for bathtub drains, the kind that come with a stopper. I don't know why I thought this would be flexible and sticky and seal itself around the bulky plug, but it did not lol. They are only designed to lie flat. But they do work great in my shower, which has a flat grate with holes in it. While not sticky, they do stay in place pretty well unless you bump them with your foot, and they're easy to clean the hair off after each shower. They seem sturdy too, I've been using the same one for months now and haven't needed to replace it, just rinse it off now and then in the sink. ... show more
