I had no idea you could replace just the drain area of a tub. This tool made the work effortless. It's surprisingly lightweight despite being machined out of aluminum, it's a great price, especially if you don't already have a set of duckbill pliers or another tool that would do this work.

**** Update: Seller refunded the charge. Not asked for, but appreciated. And the tool DID work with the mods shown below. Moved them up to 4 stars. Worked well but only after some modifications. The wrench wanted to pop off this old fixture rather than turn the drain piece, until I took a file and made the cross-hatch on the tool sit deeper and a bit wider. See photos. Excellent tool. I used it to pull my tub drain out. It worked great. I did have to use a heat gun on the drain because I though it would break or kink my pipe. I may never use it again but I'm sure it will still be around long after I'm gone.
