Don't get me wrong, the filament is of decent quality, nice and shiny and in a array of colors, but the total length of each color is rather small, and if you're using a 3d printer with a Bowden type extruder, like an Ender 3, there's quite a length that's in the tube between the extruder motor and the hot end, leaving you with not a whole lot of filament to actually print with, unless you join the lengths together yourself in order to make it longer and rainbow-y. There's guides on Youtube to teach you how to do so, and it's no fault of TTYT3D, but if you're like me and wanted to try out some different filament than what came with your machine, it's something to know. I had given up on Rainbow or Gradient Color Filament 3 years ago. I generally was printing models that took 4 to 8 hours and was finding that the color changes were way too slow. I was getting about zero to a rare max of two color changes on an 8 hour print. This filament however fits the bill for me. Fast color changes, brilliant colors, high level of shine, good adhesion, low level of stringing what more can you ask for. I've used this brand in the past for silk filament and it has always performed brilliantly, it's been my go to brand for silk, now I'll add rainbow. Please note:The height at the holder for the middle photo is 9.5mm, I count 4 color changes - that's amazing, and the infill is only 7%. ... show more

I got this filament for a smaller timer backing to add some fun color contrast. It prints well, good detail, but it came free from my Prusa MK3 textured bed a few prints and needed to be reprinted. I was also a bit disappointed that the color changes were spread out kind of far so although a fun shimmery color, smaller pieces seem to come out with only one of the colors before it gets to the next. Once I got this filament dialed in, I've been very pleased with it. My favorite rainbow type filament out there. As you can see in the pics, you can get some nice color changes all in one print. All of these were printed one at a time, I'll be trying two at once soon to see how it goes!

This filament is fast changing just as advertised as you can see from the image I've attached to this review. I had no problems with printing or adhesion to the build plate. I will definitely be buying it again. So far I mostly print small things, so I figured this collection of colors would be fine for now. And I was right! I've been having a ton of fun just printing a lot of jewelry charms and such. I bought this as I was using it to make party favors. I honestly do love the colors but the picture on the display made it look like I was getting more variety of colors. It could have been my roll in particular but it had a lot more goldish color compare to the rest. I had to do some minor cuts to get the other colors in order to complete my little project. This rainbow filliment can make some really cool and beautiful prints and it did do the job I wanted. I do have a couple issues though that I thought I should share. First, the peacock image displayed this product listing is misleading as it shows a distinct blue layer. There is no blue layer in this filliment. I've used 3 rolls and they all transition straight from red, to purple, to green, to yellow, to gold, and back to red. No blue. Second, the suggested print temp range is listed as 205c-230c. However, with the suggested temps I experienced clog after clog that required disassembly of my hot end to get at. I finally got it to print well and consistently at 235c. This is hotter than I feel like I should have needed to go. Maybe quality control is lacking and I got a bad batch? Doubt it since three rolls performed the same. Lastly, this stuff is super brittle and not because of the high heat required to print. Even on the roll if you compare it to another brand it is not as pliable. It will snap when others continue to bend further. This isn't a problem assuming you are just printing something for looks. Just know, it will break apart very easy under any strain and be careful when removing any printed supports. ... show more
