GREAT VALUE ON GENUINE RYOBI
I have several Ryobi tools, which I love, by the way, and wanted a new, more powerful battery for a hand vac, that has only a small one which discharges quickly, and without the charge level indicator lights. I only use genuine Ryobi batteries, even though there are many off-brands much cheaper, as I'm concerned about the quality control on those others. This battery didn't come in standard manufacturer packaging, just a plastic bag in a box, which concerned me a little at first. However, it is an authentic Ryobi, appears new, charged up fine, and works well. It's a great value, up to 40% less over other providers I checked, so maybe the lack of packaging is responsible for the savings, which is fine with me. ... show more

4.0Ah Is the Sweet Spot for My Ryobi Tools
Once you have several Ryobi ONE+ tools, having extra batteries becomes almost as important as having the tools themselves. I don't want to stop in the middle of a project because my only battery needs to go back on the charger. The 4.0Ah capacity is a good balance for me. It gives me useful runtime without making every tool feel unnecessarily heavy or bulky. I can keep one battery working while another is on the charger and simply swap them when needed. That's one of the biggest reasons I've stayed with the Ryobi 18V ONE+ platform. Having batteries that can be used across compatible tools makes it much easier to keep adding equipment without needing a completely different battery and charger system every time. I use my tools for projects around the house and garage, so having a spare 4.0Ah battery charged and ready has been extremely convenient. As with any replacement battery, I make sure I'm getting the correct model for my equipment and use a compatible Ryobi charger. Nobody wants to stop halfway through a project and stare at a blinking charger. Having another 4.0Ah battery ready to go keeps me working instead of waiting. ... show more

Excellent in every way except price
Excellent in every way, and puts my old Ryobi ONE+ batteries to shame. I could quibble: for less weight, DeWalt batteries give you 5 amp hours instead of 4. And then there's the price -- no wonder clones and knock-offs are so popular. But this battery certainly does the job; I'm glad I bought it and I'll probably buy another one. ... show more

Battery lasts a long time while cleaning
I really enjoy this vacuum. It’s so much easier to clean than the others I have used. It does take some time to charge but I run it for hours. Lovely edge cleaner.

The Ryobi BRAND battery at the best price you can find (Amazon) is your best deal on a tool battery
Amazon has the best price I've found for these batteries and buying from Amazon you have advantages: you can be sure that it is an actual Ryobi BRAND battery, and buying on Amazon means THEY keep track of when you bought it if you need to file a warranty claim with the mfr - you can always get your purchase information and a copy of the invoice if needed. And I have read so many things and seen so many tests, that the Ryobi COMPATIBLE off-brands for half price can actually perform well below their rated capacity, and you have no idea if the charging circuitry is safe or might be dangerous sometimes. In the long run buying the tool's manufactturer's batteries at the best price is your smartest move and I've only bought Ryobi brand batteries for my growing list of Ryobi power tools. ... show more
