Not for medium length hair

Because I have mobility issues at 79, I was so excited to see this product. Sadly it does not work even with shoulder length hair. Even the smallest roller would not even pick up my hair. So, unless you have very long hair, don't bother. I had no problem getting a refund.

In my opinion, the heated part of the rod should be longer and closer to the scalp. The only part that it curls is the middle to the ends and it’s only being heated from the inside. With heat on the outside of the curl as well, you would get a tighter curl. I used the medium rod size on my moderately long fine hair with layers. I did have to turn the heat all the way up and I could not get any closer to the scalp than I did in these photos. The curls done with less heat, I had to redo. I am a professional hairdresser. I like to have volume at the roots. I could definitely do this faster and a much firmer curl with a long barrel curling iron. If you just cannot use a curling iron and have very long, pretty much one length hair, then this might be for you. This device definitely seems to be for extra long hair without creating curl and volume at the roots. The number two rod is supposed to be 1.25 inches. A 1.25 inch traditional curling iron for my hair is a very firm curl. ... show more

Loose curls
Color: Pink
Pricey for the quality but it does work well. I found it works best to keep the control pointed forward so you can easily determine which way the hair wants to curl. If you’re looking for tight ringlet curls this isn’t what you want but soft loose curls it’s perfect.
