Not only does String-Tie make changing strings easier than ever, it may actually improve the musical tone of a strummed or plucked guitar. What is STRING TIE? String Tie is made of Galalith (milk stone), a chemical free, natural polymer derived from milk. Each set contains 4 amber-colored beads, one per string. Follow the 6 easy step instruction diagram on the back and there you go you have changed strings in minimum time and effort, plus, your guitar bridge looks nice and clean. The main advantage of String Tie is strictly a professional matter: a standard knot creates a certain angle between the bridge and the nut. The String Tie makes a more acute angle and thus enhances the tension on the nut. This results in a sound which is significantly more affected by the guitar's sound board. Another case in which String Tie is extremely helpful is when players want to reduce action (i.e. the gap between the strings and the neck). The common way to do it is by lowering the nut. In some cases, this broadens the angle between the knot and the nut which may cause various problems. By using String Tie, an acute angle is maintained.

These things are Wonderful. If you like to tie your strings then do so. But these in my opinion. Create a strongertune. As in these work better. My Uke stays in tune way longer and we even just sounds better. I think this is a personal preference type thing . If u wana try them do so.

These make stringing a ukulele easy. I’m using them and I think they look better than the stringing method usually used. I’ve only used them a short time so I don’t know if they slip and cause the use to go out of tune. I like them so far.

Expensive for what they are, but not many other options, unless you want to try to make your own with some wood and very fine drill. It's really just 3 holes that do not touch each other.

I just installed these on my new Mainland tenor ukulele. Fantastic! String changes are much quicker, and on double sets like Worth Brown strings, it's easier to make sure I get two sets out of a pack, because the string ties allow me to use less string at the bridge. I'll be buying more. Sorry about the reflections in the photos. :-) ... show more

I really like these, they're a little expensive for what they are, but once you string your guitar with this tailpieces it will look really nice. But you have to take note that the angle the strings make between the the bridge holes and the saddle will be affected, thus increasing the tension specially on that side of the strings. Also I strongly recommend using (before stringing of course) to apply a clear soundboard protector under the bridge. ... show more

These beads are really neat!! For my wooden uke, it's gonna be great and easy to string, without worrying that my knots will come undone when restringing. The instructions are simple and the hold is secure. I'm surprised these type of beads haven't been around forever!
