    • Simple, easy to install and work very well.

I replaced my non locking tuners with the Guykers. This is also the first time I have used them. I did my research and saw some pretty good reviews. 1. Price wise - excellent. 2. Tuning stability- great, the locking mechanism works very well,. 3. Smoothness and tuning sensitivity - really good. they are 18:1 ratio (nice) so super smooth and you are not cranking on them to tune. Also, super easy to install...5 minutes at most. ... show more

    • Very nice tuners, especially at this price!
Size: 6 for Right Color: Black
I had purchase a very cheap set of simliar tuners and they had knobs that were breaking loose, and when I tuned the guitar, there was a lot of slop in the mechanisms. It was very difficult to get the guitar tuned. I sent that set back and replaced them with these tuners. It was night and day different. These tuners look sleek, seem to be solidly built, and there was no slack in the mechanisms. Tuning was a breeze! I am very impressed, especially at this price point! ... show more

    • Seems pretty rad
Size: 6 for Right Color: Chrome
These seem pretty cool, never had locking tuners until now. I have yet to install them but I took them out and was playing around with them and they have some weight to them and are durable. The only reason for 4 star is because one of them when you lock the tuner it wasn’t moving, I had to smack it and then it went back into place. Not the biggest deal breaker just hope it’s not bad when I install them. ... show more

    • High quality tuners, rock solid
Size: 6 for Right Color: Gold
Smooth tuning. Stay in tune. This is a locking tuner so if you screw the thumb wheel out to the limit (but not beyond because you might damage the screw or break it off) you can lube both the worm gear and the main gear inside. I dip a tooth pick in the grease and put it on the gears inside the tuner. Looking inside it looks like brass gears. I lubed it with lubriplate, a Lithium based grease. I suspect all geared tuners use brass gears so lubing with Lithium grease is a very good idea. It also helps to give the tuner that silky smooth feel. I adjusted the tension with the philips head screws in the tuning knobs. Ultra-smooth tuning. I had to drill holes for the screws because the old tuners used a peg (Sperzel tuners) instead of a screw. No problem. I was very careful about drilling the correct size hole and using screw lube on the threads so I would not break or strip the heads any of the phillips head screws. Note on adjusting the screws that hold the knobs in place: Do not loosen these too much or the tuner will bind because it will allow the worm gear to pull outward slightly while the knob is rotated. You can see this happening if you look closely at the back of the tuner. For smooth operation the screw has to be pretty snug but not tight. You can judge this by rotating the knob and feeling the torque required. Using a string winder gives you the feel for it. The appearance of these gold tuners is right up there with my Grover and Schaller tuners on other guitars. Those tuners were over a hundred bucks. I love the Guyker 18:1 tuning ratio. It makes tuning more accurate and faster with the smaller knobs on 6 inline tuners. The Sperzals had only a 12:1 tuning ration which is to coarse for me, particularly with the smaller tuning knobs on a strat-style guitar (6 inline). I have found over the years that Guyker parts have just as good quality and life expectancy as the higher priced tuners. It's pretty surprising. Don't let the low price convince you that it's low quality. I don't know how they do it, but the quality is great. I found that to be true of all Guyker parts that I have purchased including Bridges, String Stops, and now tuners. So these days my first choice is Guyker and if they don't have what I need I look to the higher priced stuff. All the big name brands have much higher prices, but my experience is that the quality isn't any better than Guyker. Maybe i shouldn't say this because Guyker might raise their prices! I don't get paid for writing this review and am not afilliated with Guyker. I just appreciate high quality and affordable prices. I own about 22 guitars (kind of lost count) LoL. And I work on them all. I love working on guitars (and playing). ... show more

    • Great value and customer support
Size: 6 for Right Color: Black
These are really good tuners. They are easy to install and keep the guitar in tune. I put these on an Harley Benton EX-84 Modern and they fit perfectly. When I first installed these, two of the tuners were stiff and hard to turn and I considered returning them. After receiving them Guyker reached out to see if I was happy with the tuners and I told them about the problem and they sent me two more tuners to replace the two I was having issues with. The replacements worked great and I like them so much I have bought two more sets of the chrome ones and didn’t have a problem with either set. If you need a good set of locking tuners just buy these and save yourself some money. ... show more

Wasn’t sure if they would be nice with the low price. But after receiving them comparing to my Gotohs, Klusons and other brand tuners I have ya know I’m going to use these more on my builds. They are high quality and work well. They look. Life too.

I ordered two sets of these to replace the machine heads on my recently purchased Dean 12 string acoustic. Those tuners were not very good. The Guykers feel very sturdy and dropped right into place on my guitar. I made sure I got the correct set with the screw holes in the right place. The locking mechanism works well and they look ten times better than the chrome ones that came with the guitar. Tuning is holding so much better. I considered having a shop do the replacement work, but it was very easy and I’m glad I did it myself. ... show more
