I've purchased several colors of the Daytona cruiser helmets to match various bikes/scooters. Always the same size (XXL). This one looks good and quality feels and looks the same but the sizing was smaller than previous purchases. Tight on the forehead. Great price and shipping from the seller.

I finally found a helmet that actually fits me. I have bought-and-returned a few, and only to find disappointment. I was just about at my wits end. Both Biltwell and Bell both have ignored those of us with long oval head profiles. Now, on to the review. Don't hesitate getting one of these, because if you're looking for a low profile DOT 3/4 helmet, look no further. I used to hate the liner in Daytona helmets, when they first came out. But, they've definitely improved over the years. The liner is very comfortable and the noise level is a little better than my old Biltwell. The weight is minimal, and the metal flake is very even, and has just the slightest bluish tint to it (in the sunlight). Looks nice. I only have one complaint, and that is the ratchet strap. HEY Daytona, lose the stupid ratchet strap! D-rings are far and away better...and they have to be cheaper to install. The ratchet strap is easy enough to use, and buttons up okay, but I'd much rather have a D-ring....I can do them one handed. Overall, it's the best bang for the buck, without looking like Kazoo from the Flintstones. ... show more

Light and comfortable... I wear a medium in sheoi, and arai. Using the Daytona sizing chart I figured I was a large and it fits perfect. Great summer helmet!

    • Nice looking helmet, but the face shield snaps wouldn't fit anything.

The helmet looks as good as the pictures, and seems well made, but I couldn't get anything to snap on the three shield snaps in front. I tried a couple of face shields and I couldn't force any of them to snap on. Even the helmet visor that came with it wouldn't snap on it! I've owned a lot of open face helmets over the decades and never had this issue before. I don't know where they get their helmet snaps, but its not where everyone else does! If you don't use a 3-snap face shield, then it's probably fine for your. Otherwise, it was a bit snug for XXL, and I normally wear an XL, but it would break in some and be fine. It also had a nice quick release strap latch, but the non-functional shield snaps were a deal breaker. I had to send it back and got a similar Biltwell helmet, which snapped on a face shield just like it's supposed to. ... show more
