Description

Size:9.8 Ounce (Pack of 1) | Style:Natural Sweetener Sweetness is meant to be enjoyed. That's why Truvia created products meant to reduce sugar, not taste. The clean, sweet flavor contained in Truvia Spoonable Natural Stevia Sweetener comes from nature in the form of the stevia leaf. Leaves don't dissolve well in beverages or baked goods, so we extract the sweetness from the stevia leaf. Because stevia leaf extract is 200x sweeter than sugar, we balance the sweetness with erythritol, a sweetener produced by fermentation. Erythritol is also found in fruits like grapes and pears. This gives you the sweet white crystals you love, without the sugar calorie. The lid opens to allow for measuring spoons to scoop up the sweetness you need when cooking. Whether you spoon it, pour it, or sprinkle it, this Spoonable jar is great for measuring just the right amount of sweetness you crave.

  • Acts the most like sugar and is never bitter no matter the dose!
Size: 9.8 Ounce (Pack of 1) Style: Natural Sweetener
I actually prefer this product more than the straight Stevia extract liquid. The blend of Stevia with alcohol-based sweetener adds no calories and actually helps some with bowel regularity (at least for me)! It's my favorite sweetener now. So much so that I've put it on standard monthly order of one 6.8oz size per month. Besides that, Amazon.com Services, Inc has the best price at only $5.44 per jar when auto-ordered! I also choose their flexible delivery time which saves me another $1 per jar! $4.44 final price per 9.8oz jar works out to just 45.3 cents per oz! Being flexible with the delivery means you just plan your order date sooner in month to compensate. It's well worth it @ 45.3 cents per oz & you get away from regular sugar. I developed type 2 diabetes starting about age 60 due my choice of foods. Too much sugar is totally bad for the body and it's in EVERYTHING! I now am fully committed to the "Keto" diet plan & stay away from most carbs & sugar. I have dropped 91 lbs and haven't felt this good in years! ... show more

  • Extremely misleading name, "truvia", and marketing - it is mostly dextrose - corn syrup equivalent
Size: 9.8 Ounce (Pack of 1) Style: Natural Sweetener
This is great, if you like mostly corn syrup! I bought it w/o researching and find out that the first ingredient is erythritol. Erythritol is commercially produced by fermentation from a simple sugar derived from corn, called dextrose. It really makes me mad when I, as a Pre-diabetic, trust the name and find out that it is not only not what they are saying, but extremely bad for somebody who is sensitive to processed sugars. The same is true for the name brand "truvia", "New leaf" and others. Look for 100% pure Stevia! ... show more

  • Why is the jar more per ounce than the packets?
Size: 9.8 Ounce (Pack of 1) Style: Natural Sweetener
I use Truvia in my coffee every day and have for over a year at this point. Tastes great and doesn't add all that sugar. That said, the pricing on this stuff just continues to baffle me. These jars are much easier to use for someone like me that makes up a big thermos of coffee in the morning and add all the sugar and cream at once. A lot faster than manually opening and emptying 12 packs at a time. But for whatever reason, these jars cost about twice as much per ounce as the packets. I would think it would be less because of the substantial amount of paper there is in 200-400 packets. Oh well. It's good stuff, I'll keep buying it in this format for convenience, just annoying that it isn't the same price as the packets. ... show more

  • If you have IBS ...
This stuff is will make you sick -this product is stuffed with ingredients that made me sick and it takes a long time to figure out the culprit. The primary ingredient in Truvia is erythritol a sugar alcohol which is made by processing genetically modified corn. Sugar alcohols are notoriously known for their unpleasant side effects. Our bodies do a poor job at digesting sugar alcohols (which is why they are lower in calories), but because they aren't completely digested, they hang out in our intestines where they are fermented by colonic bacteria. The by-products of fermentation include gastric distress, diarrhea, cramping, gas and bloating. I know the packaging looks so healthy and fun- so did cigarettes in the 50'ies ! ... show more

  • Best replacement for sugar if you like it *sweet*
Size: 9.8 Ounce (Pack of 1) Style: Natural Sweetener
Keto/ Paleo=No sugar. Carbs are the enemy! Well, I drink tea every day and used to add coffeemate or some other sugar-y creamer option, now trying to find the just right balance of sweet and rich with the "bullet-proof" way I'm taking it. This product is the best for the sweet tooth. You don't need 3 Tbs. like with erythritol, a little goes a long way, and any stevia "taste" is extremely minimal. I still use erythritol for baking, but this is easiest for morning hot beverages without the wast of packets. ... show more

  • Best tasting sugar substitute ever!
Size: 9.8 Ounce (Pack of 1) Style: Natural Sweetener
I've been buying Truvia for years, but I'm buying it from Amazon for the price. I save $2 over the price at my local grocery store, Ralphs (same as Kroger or Food4Less) This tastes so good that you can sprinkle it on foods, like grapefruit, or those strawberries that aren't quite sweet enough. It's even granulated like sugar, but without the calories and glycemic impact. I am hypoglycemic and due to multiple food allergies, I enjoy a paleo lifestyle, more on the keto side. I won't buy anything else and I carry the little packets with me when I go out, because nobody offers it! Bonus: You can repurpose the little jars as storage for small items, or look on Pinterest for craft ideas! ... show more

  • A new truvia fan
Size: 9.8 Ounce (Pack of 1) Style: Natural Sweetener
I recently discovered truvia from a YouTube video. This girl really loved it, and my mom being a diabetic I bought a container to try out. This tastes great in coffee. I used the brown sugar package for baking and they make delicious cookies. Will be buying truvia from now on for coffee and other goodies. ... show more

  • Best Sweetener...Amazon has the best price.
Size: 9.8 Ounce (Pack of 1) Style: Natural Sweetener
Consistency of sugar, however very sweet. If you are using it for recipes, even though they tell you how much to use on the container, I have found most times it is too sweet, thus I start with less than recommended. I love it. My favorite. No chemical aftertaste, however if you are using in a recipe you might find if you eat multiple servings you will detect a cooling sensation in your mouth. No stomach upset either as long as you don't go crazy. Plus since it is a mix of erythritol and stevia, it shouldn't spike your blood sugar or insulin. ... show more
