Features

  • 100% PURE XYLITOL: XyloSweet is a 100% pure xylitol sweetener derived from the fibrous parts of plants, similar in taste to regular organic sugar. We use no filler, flow agents or other additives. Granulated xylitol is a natural sugar that tastes just like sugar and a great choice when looking for sweetners and sugar alternatives.
  • DELICIOUS LOW CALORIE SWEETENER: Xylitol may assist in achieving and maintaining a healthy body weight when used with health food. Xylitol sugar is 40% lower in calories than regular sugars, but contains the same sweetness. It can be a great choice for using in diabetic foods and snacks, keto friendly foods or used in blood sugar support supplements.
  • CONVENIENT SUGAR REPLACEMENT: XyloSweet can be be used as a substitute for baking sugar and most other common sweeteners and sugar alternatives without compromising taste or texture. XyloSweet is diabetic safe with a glycemic index of 7, as opposed to 65 for most table sugars.
  • GREAT TASTE: Unlike other sugar substitutes, xylitol has no after-taste and can be used in most recipes that call for sugar in equal portions without making any additional adjustments.
  • USAGE: When cooking, replace sugar with XyloSweet in equal measurements. Xylosweet is heat stable for cooking and baking. It mixes and dissolves like common sugar. XyloSweet is Non-GMO Project verified for purity and quality you can trust.

  • Perfect used for about 2 years.
I use Xylitol as was recommended by my dental office. No after taste and same sweetness. No artificial taste. Not recommended for baking though, no levening power.

  • It's sweet, but I'm cautious with use
I bought some Xylosweet because I wanted to try a homemade toothpaste recipe (I'm going through a crunchy phase). I did some internet researching on the product, and as a responsible scientist, I also checked out the peer-reviewed science articles on this relatively new addition to the sweetener market. The toothpaste recipe uses Xylitol because it claims it helps restore tooth enamel and kill plaque-causing bacteria. From what I gathered, it seems the bacteria just aren't able to effectively metabolize this sugar (just like us, which is why it's low-calorie), but the jury is still out on whether it actively restores our teeth. Anywho, a couple notes on use: 1. It is indeed very sweet. And it's a nice sweet taste unlike the chemically sweet taste I get from other sweeteners (I was never a fan of splenda). 2. The crystals are rather large. I tried to dissolve in water before mixing with the toothpaste, but most of the crystals just sat on the bottom of the mixing bowl (using about 1 part xylitol to 4 parts water). Enough had dissolved in the water, though, that it did take the bitterness away from the baking soda-based toothpaste. 3. As other reviewers mentioned, THIS IS EXTREMELY TOXIC FOR DOGS. I make treats for my pooch, and since my husband likes to help but can be clueless about these things, I wrote "POISON FOR DOGS" all over the bag so there wouldn't be any deadly accidents. 4. I like how it works in my toothpaste, but I don't think I'll be trying to eat it any time soon. I've read too many horror stories about bowel problems and don't want to test it out just yet. Remember, it's low-calorie because it just flows right through our digestive track without being absorbed, and sometimes it takes other passengers along for the ride. ... show more

  • I think it is the best sugar substitute
Tastes just like sugar, and dissolves about the same. We assume you have read the Wikipedia article on xylitol and you know that it has only two-thirds the calories of sugar and actually helps prevent dental caries [cavities] instead of causing them. It is, in my opinion, far and away the best and safest sugar substitute. I use it simply as a matter of good nutrition and avoiding excess sugar intake, but it is reported to be an excellent sweetener for diabetics. It increases the production of saliva, which is helpful for people suffering from dry mouth. It is reported to reduce the incidence of ear infections in children. It helps promote healthy intestinal flora. Lots more good stuff. You can do the research. If you are one of those people who have highly sensitive intestinal tracts, don't try switching over to xylitol for everything sweet at first. For almost everyone, any intestinal discomfort disappears with continued moderate use. After that, most people can use it freely. It has not bothered me in the slightest, and I use it for coffee, tea, and cereals, quite freely. You may want to do some research into the differences in US-made expensive birch xylitol and the less expensive kind made of corn cobs, usually in China. I am not sure why American companies don't use corncobs. Consider the ecological effect of cutting down birch trees versus how much you trust Chinese-made products. [It is not made from corn, but from corn cobs.] You will find that there are seemingly persuasive Internet articles on each side. By the way, I am just a customer with no connection to any xylitol producer and I have received no free products, and I have not been contacted by any manufacturer or dealer. I have done postdoctoral research in biochemistry, however. ... show more

  • The best natural sweetener ever!
XyloSweet is closer to sugar than any other sweetener out there and it is actually healthy. It has a similar consistency, though the granules are just a bit larger. It's very close in sweetness. I agree with the review that said you might need about 10% more to achieve the same sweetness. It's "good" for your teeth, providing healthy bacteria. It doesn't leave a strange aftertaste (one my favorite things about it). It does have a bit of a cooling effect on the tongue, which I don't mind at all. It's not artificial, so no cancer . . . and that's a plus (putting it lightly!). I haven't used poisonous artificial sweeteners in years. Well really not ever, because I never could stand the taste . . . but before I knew how hazardous they were to my health I allowed them sometimes out of desperation to lose weight. Turns out they actually help CAUSE weight gain. Wow. By the way, I have read reviews where people mention Splenda. One reviewer bakes with half XyloSweet and half Splenda. DON'T CONSUME SPLENDA! It is not all natural and healthy as it is touted to be. (Read about it at drmercola.com) WARNING: XyloSweet CAN give some people digestive problems. I don't have any trouble with it, but some people do. Start with small amounts and see how it affects your bowel movements. Some people use it specifically to HELP with bowl movements, but some have to avoid it. Based on the number of good reviews, I think more people are fine with it than are not. As a sufferer of Candida (yeast overgrowth), XyloSweet has become my new best friend. ;) ... show more

  • great for "oil-pulling"
After finding out oil pulling can loosen some tooth fillings, I learned that xylitol can also be very effective when used for pulling. I have been swishing 1/2 to 1 teaspoon for 10-20 minutes daily and my mouth feels great.
