Waiting for it to expand to 8 inches after unpacking. The instructions state to not leave in box for longer than two months or it could affect the layers from bouncing back. I unpacked it about a month and 1/2 after I received it. So if it was boxed before I bought it could have been packed for longer. I'm given give it a few days to expand but so far the mattress is pretty flat. ... show more

Never reached a full height of 8 inches, but I am unable to feel the frame beneath the mattress. Thickness is at 5" after a month of decompressing. Cushioning seems uniform (not lumpy). Important to note that even though it has a zipper, the cover it comes with is not removable (since it is sewn into the mattress) - the green cover in my pics was not included. ... show more

I have just received this mattress. It was ordered for a guest bedroom. Right now I can't attest to comfort. The packaging was good- this arrived clean and we'll packed. Opening it was simple. It does have a chemical type odor but is already dissipating for me. The sewing and construction appear sub par visually with irregular stitching and ties. I don't expect this to last too long or hold up to much use with kids or pets. The other reviews that say this is not 8 inches are correct. It is absolutely not 8 inches- 6 at best. The seller should consider changing the description since it is obviously and consistently inaccurate. Overall, you get what you pay for and while this wasn't cheap per say it is the economical pick- so I didn't have great or grand expectations. It would have been nice to be pleasantly surprised- but at least right now I don't feel ripped off. The entire purchase is just..eh. Would I recommend it? Not highly. Would I recommend against it? No- It isn't awful, it's not great but it will suffice as a guest bed. With a padded topper and some nice sheets and pillows this will work. *updating- the cover came apart within a couple of months, like just popped open. The bed hasn't even been used. Plus, I thought perhaps I could remove it and sew it but to remove the cover you have to cut all the ties. And then I realized this isn't even a mattress. It's like compacted batting of some sort and comes apart as the cover is removed. This is really awful. I removed stars because this entire "matress" is a disappointment. Good enough. I haven’t slept on it yet, but it’s comfy to sit on. It’s flatter than advertised, as many other reviews said, and is about 5-6 inches thick. I will be putting a mattress of (probably memory foam) on it when I start to sleep on it. Cheaply made, but I put a cover on it and it looks fine. ... show more
