The media could not be loaded. I recently purchased this item. I've used other mouthpiece boosters in the past. This one has a novel design in 2 parts, with an outer sleeve and an internal nut. It fits well on my standard Bach trumpet mouthpiece. Nice product. As I point out early in the video (around the 10-second mark), make sure nut is in about halfway. This is to ensure a good fit. If not, the booster may not screw all the way in, or it will screw in but remain loose.

This booster does darken your trumpet sound but doesn’t seem to fit many mouthpieces totally correct. I have many mouthpieces & it really only fits my XPiece partially correctly. I am somewhat happy with the product but not so happy if I use my GR or other Jet-Tone mouthpieces & other mouthpieces as well

The first thing you notice when you open the package is that this is not a cheap add on device. The workmanship is solid and the fit is perfect. I play on a Schilke 12a4a and when installed it looks as if it were tailored made. It is an attractive device. Upon playing I immediately notice that my sound is more stable especially in the high register. I did not gain any additional notes as I play well in the high D and occasional E but never found the need to go higher so I do not work to achieve a higher range. The same can be said for the low register. I do not feel the tone as darker as some have said however I can understand why others have that impression because as you move from various ranges you get the feel that the notes are holding solid when you normally start to wobble at the end of your breath. This is a good device for those of us who either cannot afford or want to spend for heavier custom horns as I am sure that the more expensive horns are built with this weight effect. I like the look overall and pleased with the slight but noticeable change. It will not make you a better player, but it will enhance whst you can already do. This is a worthwhile purchase. I ordered the gold plated version because my mouthpiece is the same so the match was perfect. I plan to leave it on for all of my playing unlike others who say they remove for certain situations. My horn is a 30 year old Yamaha 6335 series. I would probably guess that if you own a newer Xeno horn you probably will not notice a difference because Yamaha increased the weight of their new horns probably for the same affect. This is not a miracle device, however, if you are a serious player that gigs and or practice regularly with an older horn, I believe you will be satisfied also.

Wow! This booster is great! Well, I received it today. It's both beautiful and functional. I'm trying it out on a horn and setup I use for lead playing as well as a soprano bugle in G I use in a drum and bugle corps. I'm a professional trumpeter in NYC and am usually skeptical about things that may appear to be gimkicky, BUT: Both horns already slot quite well, from low to high - and they get a great sound, but adding this has given me even more of the following: - a bit more meaty core to my sound, even up extremely high in my range. My sound has opened up even more, without sounding dull and its easier to play. There is not too much Mass on the booster, so I still have rich overtones, coupled with a very robust sound! - slotting is even more secure. I can also play lip trills even easier than before with the same setup. This means less chips, bumps or unstable notes. Whew! - articulation is easier, more clear and the tone speaks easier. Articulation is of great importance when playing the trumpet! - dynamic range has been increased with more security knowing notes won't cut off at fortissimo levels and beyond. I can easily play from very quiet to very loud levels with more security and confidence. - overall improved, instantaneous playing ability! That's a huge plus for me! I'm not too big on a lot of equipment/mouthpiece/horn changes, but if it gives me instantaneous gains on a very difficult instrument, I'm all for it! I can honestly say I'm happy with this booster and it's a definite keeper. I'm going to recommend this high-quality product to my 🎺 playing friends! You should buy this if you're looking for a well-made booster that will give you instant gains! It's worth it and then some!

At 1st I was a bit skeptic whether if this mouthpiece would produce any difference in my sound. However there is definitely a discernible difference in my tone once I attached the booster. My choice of Yamaha trumpet tends to produce a brighter tone compared to others, but with the booster, the brightness is slightly tamed down, and the overall tone is fuller instead. Immediately I know that I'm going to love this booster, and had even used it in a recent performance. The raw bronze colour of the booster adds a dash of flair to my silver trumpet as well, so that a bonus. Using the booster is fine, however trying to attach it securely to my mouthpiece needs a bit of patience. The screw on piece can sometime easily loosen, and the whole booster could come loose from my mouthpiece. Also to really fasten it tight on my mouthpiece, there is a need to press the booster tight against the mouthpiece, while screwing in the booster. And it has to be screwed in just nice, if over screwed even by a bit, the whole booster will come loose. So I have to try not to touch the booster whenever I attach/detach my mouthpiece from my trumpet. If not for this I feel this would be a perfect 5 star product.
