    • Tool for kids, but...
This scaled-down version of a real garden tool - not a plastic toy - is a sturdy, good quality wood and METAL rake, so children should be supervised when using it. But this is just what I was looking for so my grandchildren can help in the garden - and they love all of the True Temper kids' tools (especially the wheelbarrow!). I may have to purchase another set or two in order to prevent arguments. Although purchased for them, I use this little rake myself. Its sturdy 7-inch head fits easily between plants, and is strong enough to chop soil and loosen packed-down mulch. It works much better for this than the 3- or 4-tine cultivators sold (for adult use) in garden centers. The handle length, of course, is suited to a child's height (but I'm 5ft 2in tall, so it works ok for me). ... show more

This is not a toy. This is a real rake and should be used under adult supervision. works well in the Garden and the kids seem to enjoy using it.

    • Sturdy little rake.
I tend the fire in my wood burning furnace with this. I'm in my 20th year of doing so, and 1 year into my 4th rake, so I ordered 2 more, which should last me until 2033 (I should live so long).

we wanted a small rake to clean in between all the shrubs and this is the exact size we needed. However, it is not real sturdy and I feel like we are going to have to be very careful with how we use it so that it will not break we realize it is a kid size rake, but did not expect it to be so flimsy.

This is a real rake sized for young children. It is well put together. I am so excited to find this kind of quality in a children's item. The handle is tall enough to last for years and the handle is finished beautifully. My Grand's are so happy to be outside raking our never ending pine needles with me!!!
