  • So far so good!
So far so good! I wish this could punch more than 20 pages at once, but for the price point it’s working great. I recommend watching the product video before use and reading the manual to ensure the least chance of issues when first using.

  • Fantastic for binding your own books, notepads, etc.
Straight out of the box, this product is self-explanatory. I was quickly able to figure out how to hole punch what I needed, plus this 3-in-1 machine also allows you to easily hang any wire bindings (you purchase separately) on the back little hooks, thereby allowing you to thread your book easily, and then utilize the opening crimped part in the top to close/pinch the wire bindings together (which you choose easily what size bindings you have). I’ve built about 200 notebooks already with this machine and it’s held up to everything. NOTE: it says it can punch holes into 20 pages at a time, but I find that a difficult feat in strength. I average 8-10 sheets at a time to make my life easy. ... show more

  • Received A Broken Machine
I received the machine and it did not work. At first the handle would not move, but after looking at the dies I found out that the first few dies were not in the slots. Unsure if they came out during shipping or if it was a manufacturer error. Either way this purchase was a waste of time and money and I ended up buying a different brand from another company. Hopefully I will receive my full refund soon. ... show more

  • Works great for making sketchbooks
I don't know why this binding machine has bad reviews. Mine has worked flawlessly for making sketchbooks for my art students. I watched the You Tube video on how to operate it before I used the machine. You have to put the spine in a certain way for it to compress correctly. When you know how to use the machine correctly, it works like a charm. ... show more

  • Works as expected, but with a significant learning curve
The binding machine generally works as advertised. It does what we needed it to, but there was a large learning curve involved. Once we figured out how to put our booklets together, it worked as expected, it just took a lot longer to get there than it should have. The small knob on the side for controlling closed-ring size AND perforating the pages ought to be made simpler: One knob with easy-to-read dial for controlling size of spiral rings, plus a LARGE switch on the front to choose between closing the rings and punching holes. I have used it to punch plastic overhead transparencies as well: there are often "hanging chads" left behind when punching plastic sheets. I could easily punch up to 16 sheets. The instructions leave a lot to be desired: the company offers the bare minimum in instructions (they need serious help) and doesn't provide useful tips to optimize the process. What is very unclear are instructions on how to hide the spiral "seam" inside the book; the brochure left me scratching my head a lot and making various attempts before understanding the scheme. ... show more

  • Wire binding only comes out nice 50% of the time - if you are lucky . . .
This machine seems well made, punches the pages nicely but when it comes time to close the wire binding in the machine, it does a good job 50% of the time . . . and often flattens the wire rather than close it nicely into a circle . . . not thrilled with this machine as I have purchased it to make journals to sell . . . I have wasted many spines trying to get them to close correctly ... show more
