  • Direct replacement

Thermostat assembly for a Land Rover/Range Rover 4.4 V8. Works as it should. This being a plastic housing they're prone to crack, always keep a spare. Now there's a update version made of of aluminum. Unfortunately this says metal, but definitely not. Either way it's a good product, fantastic price too. Made to OEM specs including a new thermostat. The install was straight forward and simple. There's no leakage , good o-rings , works great. ... show more

  • Good quality
Worked well for my 2011 Ford fiesta SES. I did have to go find new bolts because it’s replacing the OEM part which is made of plastic and therefore has a different style of screw.

  • Questionable Quality Questionable Quality

Upon receiving the thermostat, I noticed a gap between the housing and the seal that concerned me. To compare, I purchased a Mopar thermostat from the dealership. The TRQ thermostat has a significantly larger gap than the Mopar unit. I suspect the clip that secures the spring and seal assembly to the housing may have come loose or failed during shipping, which caused the excessive gap. Not wanting to potentially perform the repair twice, I returned the TRQ thermostat and installed the Mopar thermostat. ... show more

  • Much better than the plastic piece it replaced
Style: ECA90655
I replaced a warped plastic junk unit with this one. I don't know how many plastic ones were replaced before I got this one. Apparently it's a common problem. Fortunately it's easy to replace. The top of the motor had some etching where the water had leaked under the previous units. I purchased some anaerobic sealant and put a thin layer down before I installed it. It's working perfectly so far. ... show more

  • Seems to work. Seems to work.

I have a 2020 Jeep Wrangler with 63,000 miles. I developed a leak in the oil cooler and decided to replace it with a Dorman. While I was anticipating the nightmare of disassembling the top of my engine, I decided it would be a good idea to replace and other parts under the intake manifold while I was in there (even though everything else was working fine). Spark plugs, coil packs, PCV valve, thermostat, and oil cooler/ oil filter housing. I detected the leak AFTER I spent a fortune buying ALL the other fluids in the vehicle, so it was bad timing for the oil cooler problem. Anyway, I bought all these parts and spent 13.5 hours doing the work. I'm a 62 year old, former software engineer and did the work myself. The thermostat works and doesn't leak. The coolant temperature stays at 192F at highway speeds with an ambient temperature of 75F. ... show more
