I purchased this machine a couple of months age and use it a few times a week. Setup is easy. Instructions to operate the machine need to be more detailed. There are some good videos on YouTube for learning to use the software and settings for the laser. It does a great job on aluminum and stainless steel which is what I use it for. My needs are relatively simple, but I do expect quality results. The software and machine are capable of so much more than I will ever need or use. ... show more

Ordered and received two weeks later. Was easy enough to put together, mostly just screws and plugging in. Software was already installed and is easy to figure out. Looking forward to figuring out this machine to get the most out of it. If you want an engraving machine that can engrave metals (we are using for jewelry) this is the machine you want. Compared to other USA machines this chinese import is great quality and easy to use at a quarter of the price. If you are on the fence and are a little tech savy I would suggest purchasing it. ... show more

    • THE LIE OF IT CAN DO ANY OTHER MATERIEL OTHER THAN METAL NEEDS TO STOP!
Here is what no one will tell you. Plastic: almost all plastics sold as products you would want to laser is never going to work. If you manage to get it to mark it without melting LOL its light, blotchy and blurry. Use a CO2 Brass/copper will engrave but not without scorching and looks like crap. Same with most steel products. Don’t forget many metal products including jewelry are plated to prevent rusting. When you engrave you are removing this layer and if it does manage to turn out (silver on silver more like scratched in not a "nice" engraving) your customers will complain!!! Most steel jewelry sold for engraving are not stainless steel they are an alloy with mix specially made!!!! Aluminum OMG silver on silver if light and add depth you get ugly every time. $500 product wasted! Trust me you will regret it. You can do some stone but you are removing the polish. Don't even think of gemstones like tigers eye (reacts causing it to look like growing mold in time laps which was shocking LOL) other stones will just heat them up before you can mark a slight depth (not just removing the polish) and will more likely crack or shatter. yes even low power or different frequencies. and any stone with quarts/see through including glass it just goes right through. Use a CO2 Wood: NOPE, will be light and blurry or scorched and catch fire!!! Again need a CO2 laser. Leather: much of the same to lesser degree. You can laser though paint but you will waste so much money buying and leaning they smell bad as it burns though and causes toxic gas. Oh any more money wasted as some have thick paint and cheap metal that scorches. Scorching happens when it interacts at a molecular level or because too high of power. Oh and the Ezcad software cannot handle most graphics without crashing!!! you will waste time. I have a $3,000 high end computer with NOOOO other sofware installed. If you wanna do jewelry only do the math and see how long it takes to get your money back. If you were thinking to cut out names LOL ohhhhhhh it will be so much work to clean up the VERY rough edges. the time spent on each piece to an hourly wage, your making way less than half minimum wage LOL just don't...... Lastly gold is to soft and turns out weird and silver is OMG dangerous . Laser will bounce off or scorch! I almost burned down my shop LOL This is good for marking tools and stuff like that or the special engraving jewelry that does not really sell (Im in the mall and online) ... show more
