What precautions should be taken when using the magnetic attachment feature on speakers? 1. Consult physician if you have an implanted medical device. 2. Magnetic attachment only for static metal surfaces. Not for vehicles or other dynamic scenarios to prevent detachment. Does Micro 3 support pairing with other TRIBIT speakers? Micro 3 only supports pairing with the same model. How long does it take to charge Micro 3? It takes around 2 hours to charge with a certified 5V/3A (15W) wall charger. Note:If the charger's power output is lower than 5V/3A, charging time will be longer. Which preset EQ has the highest loudness? Excellent speaker... A worthy upgrade of the well-reviewed Stormbox Micro 2.
Color: Black
I have been a happy owner of the Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 for a couple of years. I own two and frequently listen to them in TWS stereo mode. I was fortunate enough to beta test the Stormbox 3 and have been using it for the past 3 months. It is an amazing speaker. To be direct, you don't buy speakers of this size for audiophile sound quality. What really sells these micro speakers is their utility, robustness, and portability. The killer feature of the Tribit SB Micro 3, in my opinion, is its magnetic base. There are two magnets on the bottom which elevates the speaker about a quarter of an inch. these magnets are fairly strong, and it surprised me how useful having a magnetic base is. You can stick it on your car, on the side of the refrigerator, on a locker, on basically any surface that will interact with magnets. And because of the rubber feet, it tends to stay put... even while vertical. Now, of course the sound is solid and great. I find that it's slightly more Bassy than the SB Micro 2. There is a good amount of digital signal processing going on. I found on some tracks that listening above 66% volume tended to cut down on the response on some tracks in order to avoid distortion. So if you want quality and faithful reproduction for your music, don't listen above 66% volume. If you want just loudness, or are listening to a podcast, higher volumes are great. The Micro 3 is compatible with Tribit's app. You can modify equalizer settings, customize idle off times, update firmware, etc. Perfectly serviceable and covers the basics. There is a rubber plug that covers USB-C charging port to help with water resistance. I accidentally dropped the Micro 3 once from around 4 feet onto a hard laminate floor with no seeming issues. The rubber strap is improved over the SB Micro 2. It seems more versatile and should mount on handlebars, a branch, fence, etc just fine. Is it telling that I'm buying another for True Wireless Stereo? It should. I just wish they had colors other than black (so I can know which is right and left (white and blue colors are coming soon). EDIT : TWS with the Micro 3 is amazing. Do yourself a favor : buy 2, lay in bed, and set them on either side of your head about a foot away (make sure the volume is down first do you don't blow your ears out). The sound is excellent... And you can feel the bass rumble through the mattress. ... show more

Audiophile Comparison — Why the Micro 3 is the Ultimate Pocket Champion
Color: Grayish White
I purchased the Tribit StormBox Micro 3 on June 23, 2026, when it had fewer than 40 reviews. Having spent a solid hour conducting side-by-side, indoor/outdoor audio tests against my extensive pocket-speaker collection—including two Micro 2s, two Klipsch Austins, and a JBL Flip 6—here is the definitive verdict on why the Micro 3 wins for real-world use: MARKETPLACE PRICE WATCH: Pay attention to the pricing games on these listings. The Klipsch Austin claims a retail price of $109 but has sat at a "50% off" sale price of around $55 for an eternity. Meanwhile, the JBL Flip 6 has crept up from an $80 bundle price to $130. At its current price point, the Micro 3 offers far more raw value per dollar. MICRO 3 VS. MICRO 2 (A MASSIVE EVOLUTIONARY LEAP): SONICS: The Micro 3 completely outclasses the Micro 2. It plays noticeably louder, and the high notes suffer far less distortion at maximum volumes. The XBass button delivers a much more direct, punchy kick. In fact, listening to the Micro 3 makes the older Micro 2 sound muddy by comparison. It is a mandatory upgrade. PHYSICS & UTILITY: Tribit engineered this extra power while adding only 21 grams of weight. The mounting strap is tighter on the 3, and the companion app offers far better, more versatile EQ options to tune the sound exactly how you want it. THE MAGNET: The built-in magnetic back is a fantastic utility feature that holds incredibly well on smooth surfaces like a stainless steel refrigerator (though on rough, heavily textured painted steel doors, the heavy bass punch can cause it to slowly slide down over time). TRIBIT MICRO 3 VS. KLIPSCH AUSTIN (THE REAL-WORLD WINNER): THE OUTDOOR SHOWDOWN: This is where the Tribit completely crushes the competition. When testing with energetic tracks like "Sport Motivation" by OdinMann outside, the Klipsch Austin fails to project because it is highly directional. The Micro 3, however, pumps out a massive, almost 360-degree soundstage. Thanks to its superior wattage, the Tribit completely dominates outdoor spaces, keeping electronic and instrument-heavy music clean, loud, and full of energy. THE INDOOR DETAIL: Inside a quiet room listening to Josh Turner's "Your Man" at moderate volumes, the Klipsch Austin does show great acoustic presence and deeper bass extension. But the moment you push the volume past 75%, audible distortion creeps into the Klipsch. The Micro 3 stays rock-solid and drives a heavier, direct punch-line at high volumes, proving it has the superior, more durable driver. THE JBL FLIP 6 REALITY: While the JBL Flip 6 is a powerful speaker, it is three times the wattage and sits in an entirely different, bulkier weight class. For a true ultra-portable pocket speaker, it isn't even in the same game. THE FINAL VERDICT: While the Klipsch Austin is a nice choice for quiet, low-volume acoustic listening inside the house, the Tribit Micro 3 is the undisputed king of real-world utility. It is indestructible, louder, vastly superior outdoors, clamps to your bike, sticks to your fridge, and drives a hard-hitting bass punch without breaking a sweat. It is an absolute engineering masterpiece. ... show more

A clear upgrade to SB Micro 2!
Color: Black
The quick review is at the bottom of this. :::: otherwise read on I've been using the Stormbox Micro 2 for 3 years now, a pair of them at that. One of the two stopped holding as much charge late last year so I was ready to make an upgrade. I almost bought a replacement micro 2 so I can run stereo or party mode again but I'm glad I waited a little longer for the newer micro 3 model. One of the most obvious upgrade noticable off the bat is the ability to reach louder levels without distortion. I feel like the micro 3 can get up to higher volumes and still keep the same clarity. The sound tuning is very much the same, a somewhat mid-bass and mids centric sound. It provides enough deep bass to satisfy* but doesn't quite reach to lower frequencies that say a Bose can (however Bose has a really subdued treble range for a tradeoff on their deep reaching bass). *One of the newest feature is a built in bass boost on the speaker, if you have the micro 2 think of having that bass and being able to raise it two clicks from stock without affecting the mids and highs. A nice addition to the Tribit tuning of a clarity centric sound. The highs are also decent but the very top end in the treble range is subdued as well - as it should. This will not be an issue for most of the music people will be playing through a portable, nor should the tuning be producing sparkling highs on a speaker to be carried around. One could even say that you wouldn't want sparkling highs on a portable but I digress. I would say that the mids and highs are properly tuned for a portable, an advantage over say the Bose tuning of a bass/mid heavy sound. I will buy a second unit to use in stereo or party mode but to be honest a single micro 3 produces the same levels two micro 2s minus the stereo feature of having 2 units paired. Unfortunately the micro 2 and 3 models are not compatible so pairing the two gens are not possible. With a 2nd micro 3 model paired I would think the pair of speakers can really get up in volume to fill a large room. Bass boost on for the pair and now you're ready to host a small party. Just buy it, the best for the price and very competitive at higher price ranges! ... show more

This little speaker gets the job done
Color: Black
The Tribit stormbox micro 3 is a great speaker it has really good bass & clarity for a vast of genres and I enjoy it. It has a rear strap to strap to secure it to handlebars or something like that, it's also magnetic it can stick to something metal like a refrigerator that's great. what more can you ask for? It also has a tri-bit app for mobile phone and it has a great EQ for adjustments just an all-round grade speaker. Charging last approximately 20 hours I haven't seen it go that far but it seems to go pretty long long between charges. I also like that it uses USB-C fast charge. The value for the money is great and the connectivity on Bluetooth is simple! ... show more

Sounds Better Than Most
Color: Black
I bought this speaker for my bike to replace a Bose Soundlink Micro I lost. Whoa, this speaker is SO much better than the Bose, and it's more than half the price. The Bose wasn't very loud, and the sound quality wasn't what you'd expect from a $129 speaker. This Tribit has richer, punchier bass and crisp treble, it gets plenty loud, and it's more secure on my handlebars because of the rubber (not nylon) strap and the powerful magnet in the back. Praise all 'round. ... show more

POWERFUL little speaker for the price. The sound quality, compatibility, battery life, and functionality are on POINT. Feels premium at a fair price. Enthusiast

GREAT clarity of sound!
Color: Blue
This little speaker is amazing. The sound is so crisp and clear, I am hearing things in the voices and music that I had been missing just listening to the phone. I listen to classical, popular music, and anything but death metal and country. I don't like wearing ear plugs, so this is the perfect speaker for gardening or working around the yard, and listening to music when working around the house. The speaker is easy to use (very user friendly) and there is a long range, so my phone blue tooth connection doesn't need to be too close. Only disadvantage: I have an old iphone 8 and even with the correct usb c to lightening connector I can't get the speaker to charge the phone. (That's not a necessity, however.) The quality of sound is a joy! (Especially for a speaker so small and inexpensive.) Highly recommend if you are a music lover. ... show more

Excellent sound for the size, but some audio glitches
Color: Grayish White
I have a pair of the off-white ones and they look and sound fabulous. While I love the form factor and the sound, which is a little louder and perhaps a tad better than the Micro 2 (which was already impressive), there are some glitches. Sometimes, when a song begins, there is a bit of noise that sounds like digital distortion for half a second. This seems to be more frequent when there is a lot of bass in the very beginning of the track. It kills the mood and I’m concerned that it is damaging the speakers. I’ve also had a few instances where my two speakers lose their stereo connection to each other or their Bluetooth connection to my phone. Hopefully these issues will be corrected with a firmware update. I was disappointed that the tiny battery indicator lights from the Micro 2 are not present on the 3. I like to know how much battery life remains, and also this seems like a missed opportunity to do some fun things with those lights while playing music via settings in the Tribit app. ... show more
