The media could not be loaded. The snap fell apart as soon as I opened the umbrella for the first time. It also doesn’t lock open all the way. Hopefully a replacement can come quickly Otherwise, it IS a cute, compact umbrella and case all. Love the color. Edit: I got a replacement, but it’s hard to open. The snap that opens the umbrella and keeps it expanded is very resistant

We bought 2 for Xmas for our sons. The reviews were good and we liked how compact they were which we thought would be perfect for school backpacks. Little did we know when we open them up for the first time that they would be rusted inside!!!! brand new and rusted!!!! not only that they are difficult to open and get the catch mechanism to activate. Even worse, folding it back up is completely manual, and for a kid having to fold it all up is exceptionally time consuming and even when I did it for my son, I still couldn’t get it to collapse all the way to use the strap to secure it shut. I would never buy these again cheap pieces of crap. These should have been two dollars at Dollar General not 13 on Amazon. don’t buy.

These are small, lightweight, and decent quality travel umbrellas. I wouldn't use them in gale force winds but they're fine for heavy rain.
