Description

The Traxxas Slash short-course race truck puts you in the driver's seat for intense fender-to-fender, high-flying off-road action. The full-scale short- course race trucks embody the spirit of Traxxas RC with their extreme 900-plus horsepower racing engines full-throttle, dirt-roosting power slides, giant suspension travel, and style big-air jumps. The Traxxas Slash brings all the action home so you can experience the high-speed head-to-head competition at the track or in your own backyard. The rear-wheel drive Slash is purpose built to fly over jumps and rip full-throttle through the turns. The Slash hangs it out for an all new way to challenge your driving skills. The 4-wheel independent suspension has been carefully tuned to replicate the real-world driving and handling experience as closely as possible. The scale appearing tires provide just the right amount of bite and thick, blinding clouds of dirt roost. When the racing action cools down, the Traxxas Slash is well-equipped to tackle all of your off-track driving adventures. The long travel suspension and oil-filled shocks easily absorb jumps and rough terrain. The unique chassis design provides huge center ground clearance to drive over deep ruts, rocks, and other obstacles that leave ordinary RC trucks stuck. The tires use advanced tread design and sophisticated rubber compounds to provide incredible grip off-road with enough versatility to also perform well on concrete and asphalt. The fenders cover the tires so you bang against your driving buddies without getting tangled up. The patent-pending Torque-Control slipper clutch design delivers smooth operation, precise adjustment, and consistent traction control. The bellcrank steering system virtually eliminates bump steer for precise handling and control. The Traxxas Slash comes fully-assembled and Ready-To-Race with the TQ 2.4GHz radio system installed and adjusted, XL-5 power system, a painted and decaled body, pre-glued tires, and detailed instructions. Simply add the battery of your choice and 4 AA batteries to get the action started.

  • Price is Jacked up! Check Traxxas website
Great product. Our son's favorite. Just very disappointing how the price is jacked up, and says it's on sale. After perching, thinking I got a great deal, My husband looked it up on the Traxxas website and the regular price is 199.00!! Tried to return it, but there was a 20.00 return fee. So mental note: Check the Traxxas website FIRST. ... show more

  • The antennae broke on the first drive
on this particular slash model the antennae protrudes from the top of the body. my son flipped the truck twice and after the second flip it wasn't transmitting/receiving correctly. pulled the body and saw the antennae tube had kinked. was unable to repair, and that's saying a lot because i have 2 other slash models i work on all the time(because they break ALOT!) and for this model I'm going to have to order a new antennae after only 5 minutes of operation. not happy. ... show more

  • Traxxas good but could be better
I have Redcat and Traxxas products and all I can tell you is that if you take on this hobby be ready for bench time making repairs. I would rate the Traxxas higher if they came stock with metal gear steering servos. Overall the Traxxas is a higher quality product - I won't go on here about how long my Redcat Volano has been on the bench with multiple repairs but I bought the Slash for my 10 year old son and within 1 week the plastic gear steering servo was stripped. We Replaced the servo gears and within 1 week the transmission went - called Traxxas and they fixed it for us but that was a 3 week downtime and when we got it back the steering servo stripped again within 1 week so I bought the metal gear servo 2075R for 49 bucks on Amazon and so far so good. Too much downtime for my son. These are very cool products, but I think there are a few things they could design in better that would yield better customer experiences - at least for me. And I can tell you that my son was not abusing it - he basically runs it up and down our gravel driveway - no jumping or running it in high grass. Traxxas customer service is very responsive and get good grades from me. ... show more

  • very fast
I only tested it for a few minutes to make sure it worked, I had the right battery and charger, and I understood the operation. It is a Christmas present for my son. The performance was excellent. Very powerful and very fast. Well worth the money compared to all of the lesser expensive RC cars that come out at Christmas time. I would warn however that it is fast. Not something you can give to a child and leave unsupervised. One must have some skill in driving. I can't imagine it can hit a wall, tree, or curb at full speed too many times without breaking. ... show more

  • Durable and a ton of fun but be ready to get a wall charger
These are excellent novice R/C trucks. RTR, easy setup and operation, and durable- even with kids at the controls. We have beat them up pretty good and they continue to run. No broken components after hours and hours of off road use, jumps, accidental impacts, and many, many rollovers. I an not terribly thrilled at the crappy charger that comes with it (why include a 12v charger and not a 110v one?!?) but you can either buy a wall charger or a 12v converter. Other than the dumb choice of chargers, this is a perfect starter setup with ample room to upgrade. ... show more

  • Beginners truck!!! Actually the perfect one๐Ÿค™๐Ÿป
So I originally looked at this truck because of its modified potential, but shortly after taking it out of the box I thought to myself with a 25 dollar motor and cheap plastic what did I actually buy?? Itโ€™s the perfect first truck but if you are looking for the Right truck go with the vxl for the extra cash you get a way better platform as far as the brushless power this truck is lackin you will thank me after a week๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘Œalso the radio turn radius could feel a lot better but I guess thatโ€™s what you get when you buy the cheap one but still happy with my purchase although the price I paid for battery and charger I could have bought the vxl ๐Ÿค” ... show more
