    • higher top speed!
Higher top speed than stock. Be careful if you are running NiMh or too big of a pinion gear. It is wise to check the Traxxas gearing chart. I have since upgraded to 32P gears. (bigger teeth and less of them on the same size spur) 32P allows me to leave the dust cover off. It makes a little more noise but nothing terrible or annoying. It is much more difficult to strip out 32P gears though. (they should last a very long time with no issues) 48P gears such as this are fine if you are good at finding the perfect gear mesh. It is a 'feel' and 'sight' type of adjustment. Some people run a piece of paper through the gears. It should mangle the paper and be a little tough to feed through but shouldn't be really hard to feed through. ... show more

As long as you have your slipper clutch set right, this gear will last a lifetime! It's also very easy to install, it takes me about 5 minutes from start to finish.

    • 2WD Slash - Almost too fast
Combined with a 31T pinion gear, budget brushless motor/ESC, and 11.1V lipo, and the Slash just screams. Almost uncontrollable, lifts the front at almost any speed. Might burn-out the motor, but tons of fun in the meantime.
