Some reviews say the card slots are too big and the cards come out with their phone. That is not my experience. I keep my phone in the back outside pocket. Easy in and out. The card slots are perfect—so easy to reach in and grab the one I need. I bought this bag for overseas travel. But I loved it so much I use it every day. I put folded paper money where the passport pocket is (above the credit cards), and I use a small zippered leather pouch for coins. My car key sits in the bottom of the bag. I have gum, mints, and a few folded tissues in the non-locking outside front pocket, and a pen, a nail file, and Chapstick in the non-locking zippered pocket above that. The inside zippered pocket is great for other items I carry, like a small pill box and extra tissues. And there is still more room inside the bag if I need it. So functional. It’s a great bag.     • It's fine... not a fashion piece.
I'm sure I should have read the reviews better, but man. This was smaller than I anticipated. Also, the coloring was very worn looking. In the end, I decided that while it "fit the bill", that was it - I wouldn't ever use it any other time than the 3 week trip I was going on. It does seem to be well-made and sturdy.     • Small but holds a lot!
I just love that it holds my phone and charging accessories on top of everything else. Like others, I find the credit card slots to be unuseable because the cards will easily fall out. So I bought a small RFID wallet and put that in the passport pocket. The canvas is pretty casual, which is perfect for everyday, on the trail, but I'd want to change out for something more polished if I were going out to a wedding or more formal event. Or, maybe I will just pick up the Travelon Metro purse! This small bag is so efficient, I'm fed up with "old school" purses that don't provide space for the electronics and phone that I carry every day. This was my first Travelon bag, naturally, just before a trip, and it worked out so well, I bought a second Travelon, east west model I think. I will be buying the Metro, for a larger version of anti theft. These are really great bags, and I intend to wear the living heck out of them! Would it be too much to ask to see a little more croco patent leather? I do kinda miss my Brighton bags for that reason. Im so impressed, I let go some rather expensive designer bags that had never worked very well. The advance in technology means all hand bags need to address this reality.     • This is a small travel bag.
This Travelon n/s bag was too small for all the trips I take. I had a Travelon n/s bag that was perfect but they no longer make it. This does not have the extra outside pocket for a water bottle or small umbrella. I assume the locks and other safety features work. I returned it.

    • Felt safe
This purse held everything and I felt completely safe with all the different locking and blocking features. It did feel a little bulky at times and wish it wasn’t so visible in all my pictures but it kept my stuff safe so no complaints

Lightweight and adequate room for essentials. Locking zipper is great in high tourist areas to ward off would be pickpocketing.

    • Location of card slots makes for 4 stars
My only problem was the location of the card slots in the main zippered compartment. They are placed in a horizontal row. So if you keep your phone in there and take it out frequently for pictures, the cards can disslodge and slide out with the phone and fall on ground or floor without knowing it. It happened to me. Good thing my friend noticed or I would have lost a Visa card without even knowing it. Suggestion would be to relocate the RFID area to a separate small zippered compartment or set the slots up vertically so horizontal motion doesn’t impact it. Otherwise this bag is great. A small water bottle fits in the outside pocket and that lifesaver. I felt very safe from pick pockets ... show more
