This is a great carry bag, mostly, but if you’re right handed like me you’ll probably want to have this on your right side with the crossbody strap over your left shoulder. Sounds simple enough, but the secured zippers (when looking at the front of the bag) open from the LEFT side. This means that if you have the bag on your right, the zipper tabs will be behind you. This makes undoing the safety clasps on the pulls a real hassle. Imagine trying to do that quickly in the middle of a crowded city. You might be thinking “the answer is simple, just go cross body left”. I tried that, and while some folks might be ambidextrous, I’m not. On the left side it takes TWO hands to manage opening the bag, not one. Still, it’s a good sized, highly secure bag that hangs nicely. Ironically, the Travelon small messenger bag, which here on Amazon shows the zipper pulls like this one in the left, actually has the pull for the main compartment on the right - making it better suited for righties. With that bag I could use one hand to open the main zipper from my right side. Too bad that one doesn’t come in a size like this one. ... show more

I had the same item in a different color. It lasted a long time. I decided to buy this color. The interior pocket has torn away on the side. And it’s only about 3 months old.

    • A convenient bag for trying times

Bought this for an overseas trip that didn’t materialize, but found it surprisingly good as an everyday bag in times of virus. Things to like: 1) cloth, which doesn’t hold contamination as long as other surfaces, or so they say, 2) card slots and interior pockets a finger’s length from the top of the bag, so if you’re careful you can dip in for a credit card or gloves or mask without touching everything.else.in.the.bag, and 3) a nice deep pouch with enough length for glasses cases, sanitizer, etc. The only thing I don’t like is the thickness of the strap; when worn cross-body, it can inch up the neck and chafe. I’d be interested to know if this would wash without shredding; I haven’t had the guts to try. ... show more

PROS: Used this purse every day throughout a two week vacation to Italy (Rome, Florence, Venice.) Lots of walking tours and time around the city but I felt secure wearing it and it held my essentials including credit/debit cards, passports, two pairs of glasses in cloth cases, lip balm, powder compact, sunscreen stick, and Samsung Galaxy Note 5 cell phone. It even held a mini water bottle within, or I was able to attach a larger reusable water bottle to the strap to be worn on the outside. The water bottle on the outside bounced around a little as I walked but it wasn't so bad. Zippers and closures held up well, no breakage or signs of seams or threads coming undone. CON: Cross-body strap is already showing some pilling as it is cloth. ... show more

I have had this purse for a week and like the number of deep pockets it offers, both inside and out. The zippers are set up to be able to 'lock' with each other, thus locking zippered items inside. You can adjust the strap to suit the length and it is very stylish. I feel much more comfortable going out, knowing that my identity and credit cards are secured.
