I tired of carrying multiple bags each day (purse, lunch, computer bag), so I bought this one after doing some research. I didn't want to spend a lot of money. This was an excellent value. I've been using it now for over a year and use it every day. It seems like it would be resistant to rain although just getting from the parking lot to my building doesn't constitute serious weather resistance testing. I use the outer pouch for my wallet and a key ring and a couple of soft COVID masks. This makes getting to my wallet fast and easy for my occasional coffee drive-throughs. By the way the magnet closures are surprisingly strong magnets. I use the outer zippered pouch for my computer glasses and a little bottle of aspirin and my cell phone, also for quick access all day long. The inside is large enough for my lunch and my laptop and the occasional paperwork that needs to be carried with me. It's worked out quite nicely. One bag instead of three. I'll never go back. I purchased this backpack for a quick trip across the country where I did not want to use a suitcase. It perfectly held my 2 days of clothing, toiletries, snacks, and a coat. I placed my items in Ziploc bags and pushed out all the air before sealing and this allowed me to have more than enough room inside. I love the overall look of this backpack. The pocket spaces are roomy. I test packed it and then tried it on to see how the weight and comfort levels were for this 65-year-old woman. The size is perfect for me and I am 5'6. So I highly recommend this backpack. The only con I have is that when I opened the box and took the backpack out of its plastic wrapping, the internal plastic of the backpack had a strong odor for my sensitive nose. The size is good, not too big, not too small. I got this for traveling but use it as a day bag going to exercise. It holds my purse, water bottle, and weights and more. I can stuff my coat in it as well. The side pockets are tall enough to hold a 24 ounce water bottle without fear of it falling out.
