I used this to mount a trolling motor to the swim deck of my 19 ft bow rider. The trolling motor is 89lbs of thrust with a 24V supply. It ain't small. This plate, along with upgraded mounting hardware, works really well. I did have to replace the plastic spacer blocks with wood as they couldn't handle the weight. That was to be expected. The main mounting plate has proven to be a beast. It holds a large motor, on a large boat (relatively speaking), with a large amount of thrust. It does all of this effortlessly. To date the sealant applied around the mount perimeter shows no sign of cracking or flex. Although this isn't really the application it was designed for, it handles it with zero issues. There are other products designed for my application. They also cost three times as much. I could not be happier with the end result.

This sturdy motor mount fit my Jackson Big Rig kayak without modifications. An easy way to mount a trolling motor on kayaks with power pole mounts. Don't know how well it will hold up with use in salt water but so far it's been great.

I'm not sure what kayaks this would fit. The dimensions are pretty big for a kayak. It won't fit my Jackson Yupik because the dimensions are way bigger than the recessed 4 hole mount area. There are holes that match up but the plate is at least an inch too wide all around to fit down in it. I am going to try a spacer made out of an old plastic cutting board which may be enough to raise this transom mount to deck level where it will fit. The plate is really heavy, probably way more than you would want on your kayak. Seems more appropriate for a larger boat. If you like the price and don't mind doing some custom fit work it may do the job for you. Also doesn't fit the mount area on a Jackson Mayfly, Coosa HD, Kilroy etc or really any kayak that has a recessed 4 screw pattern mount area.

Mis-advertised JUNK! This item is made of carbon steel, not a stainless "alloy steel". It says it is suitable for seawater, but its already rusted in my driveway and I haven't even had the boat in water yet. I suspect the screws may be 304 SS, which also does corrode in seawater, they need to be 316SS or better. But the whole unit is totally unusable in seawater. as it will quickly corrode. The powder coating is thin and scratches right off.
