These are terrific. They're warm, but not too warm, and they block the wind perfectly. The other day we had 17 degree F weather with 28 mph winds. I didn't really want to go for my morning run, but I did, and I'm glad I did. My hands never got cold. I used them in temperatures above 35 degrees F, and they were comfortable, as well. My wife tried them on. She's very picky about gloves because her hands get very cold. She loves them, as well. Oh, and their responsiveness to my iphone is fabulous.     • Great gloves for running outside during the winter.

The most important feature to me is the "finger cover" that serves a second layer over your fingers. Provides more warmth, and can easily be peeled back if you need dexterity. Definitely worth the money.

I am super fan of these gloves.. with the "Mitten" cover they work great in the Maine winter. Have run with them in ~10 F weather and they work just fine at keeping hands warm (and I have minor circulation problems so they are very nice) and the few times I have used them with hand weights while running they seem to hold up well (will update if needed after more runs with the weights). They would have a 5* rating if they had more size options. The S/M size is large on me, that said they still work great. ... show more

Lightweight and reflective; great to improve your "be seen" in low light conditions. Decent finger protection with dexterity. The thin mitt cover will not add much warmth, but will cut the wind and provide moisture protection. Good fit and touchscreen responsive.

I ordered these gloves for a marathon predicted for freezing rain. The rain part didn’t happen but at 38° these gloves worked wonderfully. I have doubts about really being any form of “waterproof” but wind resistant, warm, and able to shed a light mist with the covers of perfect. I really like these gloves, took them out for a 45 min run at 25°F with some wind and they kept my hands warm the whole time. The soft material on the back of the thumb is nice too for wiping your nose on the cold run. Might buy a spare pair just for backup

I really love the Trailhead gloves. While at first glance and feel they seem thin, the fact that there is both finger gloves, and a "mitten" type cover makes these gloves very versatile. The material both breathes well, and when the "mitten" portion is one the fingers, the are remarkable warm. This is especially great for running because my hands start out cold, and then warm quickly. Being able to both cover and uncover my fingers when they get too warm or too cold is awesome. The "mitten" part is fully attached, but can be squished into a sown in pouch on the top of the hand. This makes popping some fingers out of the mitten to cool, or grab something, or use a phone, etc. super simple. I have walked and run in them in temps down as low as 20 degrees with little issue. (Personal comfort may vary - these are not true winter gloves, but they cut the wind and some cold temps well.) The Trailhead logo on the back of the mitten and silver band reflect light well for night runs. Overall, I am very happy with these... and this is my second pair. I purchased my first about a year ago and they are still holding up. I just needed another pair for when I throw them in the wash. ... show more

Bought this to run in. However, most of the insulation is in the palm but my hands get cold on the outside where the air gets at it. The outside was similar to liners I normally use in moderate cold. Hoped that these would be warmer. I can close my hands to warm up my palms as needed. The mitten cover was easy to use but provided little benefit though it was very visible. Touchscreen use was very good. Wrist is long and gets in the way of my watch but needed to hold mitten part when not in use. ... show more
