I install this the bracket was a nightmare to install but the wiring was plug and play. I am going to get the EFI flashed and will update the review to let everyone know that works or not. Would have been 5 stars but came with no documentation. I was able to search YouTube for some other similar product installs to see how to do it. If it flashes and it is a valid OEM I will update to 5 stars as the install was not bad other then bracket good luck and laying my cards on the table. I got one screw in and used zip ties for the rest. All my research shows it is Ram that made the bracket a pain to install not this product. Everyone on every product complained about it. :) 2019 RAM 1500 Classic. Update: ECI flash went well I can not see the unit information in the dash computer. I now give it 5 stars as the mounting is not fault of the seller but entirely the way ram allowed it to be mounted. I bought this thinking I could save some money on a brake controller for my 2017 Dodge Big Horn. First unit after installing it did not even work. The second unit Amazon sent me kinda works but any trailer you hookup to truck says no trailer attached. Used OBGenie to program the computer. After second OBDgenie (the first one took a rough ride on a USPS truck I guess. It was in 4 pieces). I got the control to be recognized but every time you start the truck the gain goes up .5 or 1 on dash. Took to Dodge dealer (another 109.00) and got it reprogrammed still the same. Sending all this junk back (2 controllers and the OBGenie) and just going to buy a OEM controller. Can not trust a brake controller that says not connected all the time and gain increasing every time you start the truck. Could over heat brake and burn up RV. ... show more

Worked perfectly for my 2019 Ram for horse trailer brake control. I will say I had a very knowledgeable person to install it, so it definitely helped in that way. We did have to improvise a bit because there were a few parts that were slightly different and the instructions were a bit off in the booklet that came with the parts but if you have someone who knows somewhat what they’re doing to guide you or help install it should be no problem. Wouldn’t recommend doing it by yourself if you haven’t done it before. But the parts included did exactly what they were supposed to. ... show more

    • Great value slight issue.
It was a pain to install but that's on rams design team. Why can't anything be easy? Works great however, it slightly pulses the trailer brakes. You can hear it while it's parked and it does it on three different trailers and the work truck doesn't do it. Other than that it works great. You don't really notice the pulsing if you have a good load on. ... show more

Was a little skeptical at first but it looks and feels just like O.E.M. It really is plug and play to a certain point. When you plug it in. It will work, I tested it with my toy hauler. I hooked it up(doesn't show on your gague till you flash it or go alfaobd route) but the actual manual brake squeeze works. Can't see your gain is the only problem but you can feel it working. When I hooked it up, I just pressed the lower gain a few times to make sure it was at its lowest setting the I pressed the increase gain 2 clicks so it would be at 6.0.     • Truck doesn’t recognize it.
Easy install and it almost worked. My truck wouldn’t recognize the module. I used Alpha OBD with a bypass cable to reprogram. The problem I had was that if I squeezed the brake controller knob, I wouldn’t see the gain move up on the dash as it does in other trucks. Thought I had a bad module, exchanged for a new one and it did the same thing. Finally bit the bullet and got OEM parts and it worked like a charm. ... show more

So the dealers have this part on back order. I ordered this and installed it in my 22 Ram CASSIC. I haven't been to the dealer yet to see if they can register it on my system. It is working just no display. The test brake lever isn't working but the plus and minus buttons are working. I can adjust my brakes fine by feel. Again no display. Hopefully after I get to dealer display will work. Still happy though would rather have this unit with no display then an under dash aftermarket unit! ... show more

Difficulty to install, that’s RAMs fault, programmed with no problems, haven’t pulled a trailer yet but everything seems to be working properly.
