Just a heads up, if you have a large chest, the chest straps will not fit you. I went out and bought some 3/8” webbing and sewed myself some new ones. For the brand, I’d suggest fixing this in the bag for future customers. Second, there are loops on the back of the bag for elastic pass through, so I picked some up and just threaded it through. I like the neon :) Weird that they didn’t just do that themselves, unless it’s for something else but there are already lash points on the back of the bag elsewhere. Last, I haven’t tested the water resistance as I was hoping it’s near waterproof. We’ll see

I was looking for a vest style backpack to use as a daypack. I ordered four different ones. This one was my 2nd favorite. Super comfortable, huge capacity and felt really well made. What lead me to returning it was that I found inconsistent stitching and uneven straps. Also, while all of the vest pockets offer a lot of versatility, I found them to be a bit too much. I personally didn’t need the higher up ones with the zipper and the velcro. They felt oddly placed to me. The last thing I didn’t like was that I didn’t feel as if I have any kind of trust worthy warranty should something happen with the bay. Other than that this is a really nice backpack and for the price you’d be hard pressed to find a better alternative. I ended up settling on the north face trail lite 20 since it was super comfortable, has north face’s warranty and 20l is more of the size I was looking for.

I’ve been using it as a travel bag for a while. It’s been perfect! It’s great for weekend getaways when you just want one bag for the trip. I’m still trying to take it out for a few days on the trail, but it’s super compact and fits a lot.

Bought for fast packing. Did r2r2r of Grand Canyon over 2 days. 50 miles with 11k vert. It holds weight well. Tons of pockets. No soreness from straps. Only cons: 1) bladder hose routing is not the best once it leaves the pack. 2) wish the chest straps had a tiny bit of elasticity. I will modify both. All in all well worth the money.

I thought this was the daypack for hiking I had been looking for! After three hikes with the longest one was 12 miles and 5 hours, I concluded that everything worked well except the shoulder straps, which seemed to be a design flaw. The bag tented to fall back down and caused soreness on my shoulders. As it has passed the return window, it became a trash in my closet.

I've used the Aonijie 30L and the UD 20L for several hikes and trail runs (usually around 5-12 hours), and I usually use a hydration bladder rather than soft flasks. Though I prefer the UD overall, the price of the Aonijie makes it a great value, and it does have some features that are better in my opinion than the UD. I like the Aonijie side-pockets better than the UD; Anoijie's are a little larger, and it tends to be easier to place and remove items from the side pockets without removing the pack. Aonijie's external zip pocket (with key holder) on the back, which makes it easier to access quickly compared with the internal zip pocket in the UD. The main thing I like less about the Aonijie is that only 2 of the pockets on the front of the vest are decently sized to stuff with snacks; whereas the UD has 4 good sized pockets on the front, with an additional 4 mini-pockets that are good size for fitting snack bars. Minor difference is the back open pouch on the Aonijie seems slighly smaller and feels slightly less secure than UD's back pouch. Sidenote, the UD hipbelt tended to pinch my waist, but it's removable and now feels fine without the belt; haven't had any issues with Aonijie's hipbelt, which is also removable.

I bought this pack for daily use and my five-mile walk to work in anticipation recovery from a shoulder replacement. Loaded with my daily eight to ten pounds it hugs my back in such a way that the load is almost completely lifted from my shoulders, hugging against my back, and it's extremely comfortable, so my new shoulder isn't involved at all. All in, it does its job better than any other small pack I've owned. It's not waterproof and I always use a pack liner when it's rainy. I think the 30L volume includes all of the exterior pockets stuff to the max, and the center pouch filled beyond useful, so consider that. The main bag is more like 20-22L. Pockets on the shoulder harness are mostly vestigial. I can fit my phone and sunglasses and the others are too small to be useful. . . earbuds fit the other pockets, and that's all. Don't think that you will be carrying your water bottle in front! I do wish that the whole thing were larger, a real 30L pack. It's definitely not just 5L less than my Osprey "real" pack. It may not be the best fit for big Americans! I find that it's impossible to rig the vest "properly" on my chest--I'm just too large (it's not about fat) and the bottom of the front has to trail off towards the back like regular straps. But it still works well and it's my favorite day pack so far, in spite of all of my mentioned caveats.
