  • Solid Performer w/Extended Battery Life!
The TracFone Motorola Moto G Power is an excellent value priced phone that can stand up and out against any of it's competitors in the 4GB Class. This phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset with 4GB of RAM. There’s 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage, of which 48GB is available out of the box. While 48GB of storage should be enough for moderate users, you can add up to an additional 512GB of external storage with a microSD card. The Moto G Power still has the typical Motorola aesthetic, but there are a number of changes that make it look and feel more refined. For example, the front of the phone has a larger screen-to-body ratio, with no Motorola branding on the bottom bezel. Also, on the bottom edge you'll find a USB-C charging port, a headphone jack, and a speaker with opposing speaker on the top deck. Audio quality is solid as well. The phone features Dolby-tuned stereo speakers and AI that automatically tweaks audio settings depending on what you're doing. Though the Moto G Power is locked too TracFone, it is powered on Verizon's network making it an excellent purchase for TracFone's $30 pre-paid plan, which is offering a $5.00 two months discount if established with auto pay. The Moto G Power really delivers, offering snappy performance and truly spectacular battery life. So the bottom line for this purchase, it's a solid performance, multi-day battery life, and a gorgeous 6.4-inch display make the Moto G Power the best budget-friendly phone you can buy right now, hands down... Period! ... show more

  • Good to great budget smartphone
I decided to join the smartphone generation after having a flip-phone for the past twenty years. After doing some investigating I decided this phone was the best deal to see if a smartphone was right for me. Turns out it was. After some problems getting my old phone number transferred from Verizon Wireless to Tracfone and spending a lot of time with technical support on my landline, the problem was fixed and technical support was a joy to deal with. The real reason I needed a smartphone was that some pieces of electronic equipment wouldn't install on my Android tablet, it would only install on an Android smartphone. After getting all my electronics to install on this phone, using them was a breeze. If you are familiar with Android, using this phone is very easy. Too bad my fingers are like baseball mitts, as I have to use a stylus on the virtual keyboard, otherwise most words would be misspelled and unreadable. I think this phone will suit my purposes just fine and I'm glad I made the switch, as Verizon wanted nearly $900 for one of their smartphones and bill me $100 a month for single line service! I'm not stupid, so I dropped Verizon like a lead balloon. That was no way to treat a longtime customer. Everything on this phone works well, including pretty good front and back cameras, speakers, and call reception. I am very happy with Tracfone! ... show more

  • Can be a bit slow at times
I got this phone for ~60 with tax last year. After a year of use, it hasn’t really changed much. This isn’t my daily driver, but it can be for people who don’t plan on using it for heavy gaming. Pros: - amazing battery life. Can go on for days with 1 charge - pretty good camera - very bright (can be a con during night time usage) - headphone jack - amazing for the price (when I purchased it) Cons - it’s not the best in hardware, so when I use the browser itself, I sometimes experience lag from the software animations. It’s not anything major on stock or low resource required apps - this connects to the previous point, but you are basically out of luck for heavy gaming - very bright. Unless you use some sort of tint or lower brightness app, the lowest brightness is still very bright at night - software update is slow. We only recently got the new android update. This doesn’t matter much to me since i don’t plan on updating, but it could be a deal breaker for someone else - this connects to the previous point. Apparently, android phones aren’t supported for long. From what’s I’ve looked up, this phone’s support ends next year (2022). That’s only 2 years after it’s depute. Kinda crazy if you ask me ... show more

  • Moto G Power has great battery life, locked to Tracfone and is good for light data users
This phone was on special with one month service plan free so it was a heck of a deal for the phone. It is locked to Tracfone but that is good with me because I like their service and their monthly plans and rates. This phone is locked to Tracfone so it is good for someone who can use wifi at home or has light data use. Once I figure out my average data use I will sign up for the Tracfone auto refill for 1 or 2 gb of data per month and unlimited calls and texts. That will be either $20 or $25 per month. My old Tracfone flip phone usually ran about $20 per month with minutes. Tracfone plans work for me. I love the battery life on this phone. The first charge lasted 5 days down to 15% even with all the software updates being downloaded on wifi. The second charge lasted six days with some use each day. I rarely hear what people think of actual phone call usage on their phones. The speaker on top is somewhat quiet during phone calls but it is so clear it isn't a problem for me at all. The speakerphone works even better. The dual speakers actually sound nice when listening to music. If I just want to listen to music for a short while I will use the phone's speakers rather than a Bluetooth connection. The screen is HiDefinition so everything is very legible, even on the small screen size. The color looks good. The screen isn't the newest technology but everything displays nicely on it. This 2020 model of the Moto G Power has 64 GB of internal memory. If that isn't enough you can add a micro SD card up to 512 GB. I'm getting a 128 GB micro SD card for music and a few other things. I added the Omoton glass and Poetic Revolution case for extra protection. It adds size and weight to an already heavy phone but I don't mind that. I like the protection both offer. This is a great budget phone and works well with Tracfone. It has enough features to satisfy my needs and I'm very happy with this purchase. ... show more
