I originally picked up the Motorola Moto G 5G (2024) as a backup device to my main iPhone 14 Pro Max, but I have to say, I am genuinely impressed by how much punch this affordable phone packs. The first thing that put a smile on my face was the iconic "Hello Moto" greeting—it’s such a nostalgic touch! For a budget-friendly device, it feels remarkably fast and responsive, and the 5G connectivity has been rock solid with no connection issues whatsoever. The 6.6-inch display is large and vibrant, making it great for scrolling or watching videos, and I was pleasantly surprised by the fast charging capabilities. It also comes with both a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and Face ID support, which is a level of security I didn't necessarily expect at this price point. Both work flawlessly and make getting into the phone a breeze. I did have to spend a fair amount of time diving into the settings to get everything exactly how I wanted it. Out of the box, the notifications were a bit "chatty" and the display settings needed some tweaking so the screen wouldn't light up at every little movement or sound. But once I silenced the unnecessary dings and fixed the display wake-up triggers, it became the perfect secondary device. My husband's phone works great and has had no issues. Mine had to be updated a lot when I first set it up. It closes and opens random apps with me clicking on them. I turned my ringer up in settings only to miss calls and find my ringer turned it's self down. So I have to keep turning it back up. Both phones are only a month and a half old. A number of other reviews have mentioned that they had trouble activating the preloaded service plan. I had the same problem and if it's taking you more than 10 minutes to activate your phone, you should contact customer service. You can do this by phone or chat with them via text on their website. To speed up the process, create an account on the TracFone website and have the unique IMEI # for your phone on hand before contacting customer service. The IMEI number can be found in two places: (1) printed on a sticker affixed to the outside of the box and (2) on another sticker that's inside the box. When explaining your issue to customer service, mention that you bought the phone through the TracFone store on Amazon. Now as for the phone bundle itself: Pros: - Great deal - my mom actually got the older model of this same phone a couple years ago except it was tied to an inflexible monthly phone plan from one of the big brand name phone service providers and she was stuck with them for 2 years. Her old phone and a single month on her old plan cost a lot more than the price of this phone bundle. - Good phone, with one or two minor caveats (see below) Cons: - The product description says that a charging block is included. No charging block is included. - The annoying "Hello Moto" greeting every time you start up your phone. Even after you go through all the steps to turn it off, it will not go away. Or it will go away briefly then return after the phone updates. I searched online hoping for a solution but there are complaints about this going back years and Motorola refuses to do anything about this. - This may be a pro for some folks but not for me: the screen is NOT plastic. I'm buying this phone for my mom and the reason is because she dropped her old phone. I didn't realize that this was basically the newer version of her old phone until I opened it. The screen can crack and the phone will stop working if you drop it on a hard surface like a sidewalk. Conclusion: Overall, this is a good phone for a great price. I took one star off for: the difficulty in activating the phone plan, the lack of a charging block as promised in the product description, and the product description not specifying the material of the phone screen. ... show more

Overall a solid buy and price can’t be beat for what it offers. 1) Impressed with the battery life of this phone. Used GPS all day and still had at least 50% batt left at night. Much better than my regular phone. 2) Touchscreen isn’t as responsive as an iPhone but it’s still good 3) GPS walking directions in East coast cities isn’t great—the GPS gets hung up often, and occasionally doesn’t know what direction it’s going. Very diff from iPhone experience when traveling. 4) Screen display is very good and sound quality seemed fine too. 5) Easy Tracfone setup and Googleplay app downloads was trouble-free. ... show more

Took me 4 hours to connect phone up to cell system. Tried doing numerous times online with bad results since they do not provide "physical card" needed on the last screen. Ended up calling Tracfone and they told me Amazon doesn't sell a package deal, which after I screen captured and sent him proving it was true. Took lots of doing along with convincing him my old phone was not deactivated, but only suspended for billing reasons. Asked him why would they provide "Transfer Pin" from network only not have it work? Just a waring, but it can be done, just takes some doing. Needed temp phone since I destroyed my Samsun Ultra and I want to purchase new 26Ultra next month. All that being said, it is a very good phone overall, with solid speed and memory especially for the price. They did not include the cube as promised in the ad. The box also doesn't claim to have it on their "included" list. The box also did not include activation card or I could have signed up more easily - they had only listed Serial and SIM card #'s. Probably will complain about 10 watt cube since it's twice as fast than normal ones I think. Just talked to Tracfone and they said to discuss with Amazon, of course has nothing to do with their own listing and false information, so I downgraded by one star. ... show more
