  • Near wired performance without the cable mess
Style: BE6500, WiFi 7 - New Model
I installed this into a Precision 3650 mainly because I wanted to get rid of the Ethernet cable running across the room. The setup was straightforward, and I only used the PCIe part since I didn’t need the USB connection for Bluetooth in this build. Once it was up and running, I immediately noticed how close it felt to a wired connection. In the same spot I had been testing with my older WiFi 6 card, the latency drop was noticeable right away—almost indistinguishable from Ethernet in normal use. I checked speeds a few times and it stayed within a very small margin of wired, which wasn’t something I was getting before. Before this, I would see higher latency swings and a more noticeable drop in throughput, especially under load. With this setup, everything stayed steady even during heavier downloads and remote sessions. For my use case, it basically removed the need to stay tethered while still keeping performance consistent. ... show more

  • Great Wi-Fi 7 card, word of caution for Bluetooth
Style: BE6500, WiFi 7 - New Model
This card is a MUST if you have just upgraded your network to Wifi 7. I use Arch Linux as my exclusive operating system and it was just plug and play (I believe you'll need Kernel 6.7 or later to use the card fyi) The antennas the card comes with are great at picking up the wifi signal. I have a GE800 router on one side of the house and a Wifi 7 TP-Link mesh extender on the other side. My bedroom office is almost exactly in the middle of the two access points but the card never struggles to connect to the best one. The only downside is that the Bluetooth connectivity is TERRIBLE with the included antennas. If you need solid Bluetooth connectivity I highly advise getting the slight more expensive wifi 7 card that comes with a long-wired antenna that will allow you to place them optimally. I didn't take off a star for this as I half expected this to be the case and Bluetooth I only use occasionally so I just bought a USB dongle ... show more

  • Slow powering on, poor performance, random power offs, Bluetooth no longer works
Style: BE6500, WiFi 7 - New Model
I only get around 600mb even when right next to my TP-Link wifi-7 router, despite the connection showing wifi-7 in Windows 11. It takes like 30 seconds after waking my PC for the adapter to power on. It will randomly power itself off and I have to reboot. I have the current TP-link drivers installed, and my router has the current firmware. Now the Bluetooth has just stopped working. Overall, a dog of a wifi adapter and a waste of money. Avoid at all costs. ... show more

  • Great connection

  • Five star function, but mounts upside-down
Style: BE6500, WiFi 7 - New Model
Five star device. Great WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. Installed easily. I did manually install the driver packages for both on a fresh Windows 11 install. I didn’t test either before I’d done so, but it was very simple and functions well. I knocked it a star for the orientation. The way most (all?) motherboards are laid out, this mounts “upside down” so the label on the bottom is visible inside the case. I would have preferred that the card had its black-and-gold body facing up. Kind of a trivial complaint given the excellent functionality but yeah, not sure who in R&D let that one pass! ... show more

  • Excellent speed and consistent connection
Style: BE6500, WiFi 7 - New Model
I was using an old adapter (A6200) and getting download speeds of about 230 Mbps. Sometimes it would drop to about 50 Mbps and show an orange light on the adapter. I would need to unplug and plug it in again to restore the 200 Mbps. I have a mesh router that has 1 Gbps download speed that I get on another PC that uses ethernet. This BE6500 gets about 600 Mbps all the time. It has not lost the speed at all since I put it in yesterday. Very pleased. ... show more

  • Do not buy if you need Bluetooth to function
Style: BE6500, WiFi 7 - New Model
I think this product deserves a 2/5 because it does not live up to its full functionality. The Wi-Fi 7 works well , however Bluetooth does not work whatsoever. I made sure to plug in the usb Bluetooth cable from the Wi-Fi card directly to the motherboard. I tried using the TP-Link drivers provided on a mini-disc, as well as version 1.0 and version 1.60 provided on TP-Link’s website, none of them worked at all. Again, the Wi-Fi works but Bluetooth does not. This was tested on a newly built W11 machine. ... show more

  • Worth it if you're unable to be on a wired connection.
Style: BE6500, WiFi 7 - New Model
Throughput is way better than the TP link USB Wi-Fi 6 module that I was previously using. I could never get over 50-60mbps now I get well over 250mbps or higher.
