Laptop WiFi was dying so ordered this and Insalled in a USB port and now the laptop WiFi signal is better than it ever was. Great value for the $$ and saved having to get a new laptop for just the WiFi.

This isn’t the best USB Wi-Fi card. It only has Wi-Fi five. But it works good if you’re wanting to put it on a laptop or something where you don’t want weird antenna sticking out and it can make use of the 5 GHz band. And you just stick it in there and it’s install. It’s driver list so you don’t have to worry about compatibility. I use Linux and it works perfectly fine. Only issue is that since it’s so small you might lose it, but that also helps it be more durable since it’s so small. ... show more

My laptop is Dell Latitude 5590 with Windows 11 Pro. Wanted to use this adapter to replace the broken internal WiFi card. It's supposed plug and play. Much to my disappointment, the laptop could not recognize it. Downloaded driver from TP-Link (my laptop doesn’t have an CD drive which could use the accompanying CD) and did not make it work either. Decided to give it a final try before returning it. Voila! It worked. Windows showed that it worked with 5 GHz public network. Speedtest.net showed excellent performance. ... show more

This is definitely a product that I will purchase again. It's lightweight, sturdy, and relatively inexpensive. It's easy to install and I didn't have to worry about configuration. It was easily picked up by my laptop with 4 GB of RAM, 128 GB SSD, and Fedora 40 Workstation installed

    • Great little alternative to replacing wifi antennas in laptop
I bought this because my laptop Wi-Fi antennas have a break in them right at the joint where it opens and closes. I only figured it out by pure luck so instead of buying new antennas and ripping the laptop apart to replace them I decided to buy this nifty little Wi-Fi adapter. My speeds weren't great with the stock Wi-Fi to begin with, and I was lucky to get 15mbps out of the 100mbps we pay for. With this adapter it was plug and play and I get 4/4 signal with over 100mbps which is fantastic for being in an old house with shiplap walls, and it saved me a bunch of hassle not having to take apart the laptop and the adapter is just as small if not smaller than a wireless mouse USB plug in. ... show more

Wasn’t plug and play on my computer, although I assume it was computer related, used this on my mother in laws computer which is very very old and running windows 8 , she didn’t want a new one because she knew how to use this one, just the WiFi stopped working on it .
