  • Ring doorbell fix
My ring doorbell is getting damaged from the Florida sun and usually the connection starts to deplete. I’ve been having connectivity issues where it even fully just disconnects leaving me with no access to my camera, even though I never moved the camera or the WiFi modem, but with this extender I was able to have excellent connection again. Such an easy and affordable fix opposed to purchasing a ring brand, over priced, extender. I’m not a fan of the company as their customer service has been getting worse and it seems their devices are designed to stop working and when you call them they have salesman that are disguised as troubleshooters, to try to sell you a new product, so I love fixing things without giving them a penny ... show more

  • Wifi Range Extender
What I like about the Wifi Range Extender is that the AC750 is praised for effectively extending WiFi coverage in areas where the signal is weak or spotty. It’s particularly useful in larger homes or buildings with multiple floors. With the dual-band support, the extender can operate on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies, providing flexibility and better performance for different devices. The combined speed of up to 750Mbps is sufficient for most typical internet activities, like streaming and browsing. Also The one-button setup feature is a major plus, allowing me to quickly and easily connect the extender to the existing WiFi network. The WPS (WiFi Protected Setup) button makes the process straightforward even for those like me are not tech-savvy. I also wanted to say that the compact, wall-plug design of the AC750 makes it unobtrusive and easy to install in any room without taking up much space. It blends well with most home decor and lastly the extender via the TP-Link Tether app adds convenience. Users can adjust settings, monitor connected devices, and manage the network remotely, which is particularly handy. ... show more

  • Very close to Wifi Router. Still Dropping Signal Every Day
I have had this for one week and when it is connected it works great. The signal is boosted in a room where it was weak without this. However, it drops off randomly at least once a day. It is within a great range of the original wifi router. This is because I can still get the original wifi signal in the room I need but it is weak. This extender is placed between this room and the router and is maybe 15 feet away from the router, just around a corner of a wall. I know that getting the signal from the router is not the problem. I do like the app. I am savvy enough not to need it but it does make it easy. Unfortunately I have had to use it every day to figure out why it keeps dropping. Very frustrating when you are trying to work from home. There is a chance you can get a lemon, like I did. ... show more

  • Be sure your internet router is not "blended" before installation
I believe the "Quick Installation Guide" should come with a "pre-step" before you follow the installation instructions. You need to contact your internet provider to determine if your router is "blended". If your router has both a 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz and BOTH use the SAME Wi-Fi name AND password, you need to get the 2.4 GHz to be segregated to allow connection to this Range Extender. It took several hours with calls (including wait times) to my internet provider and TP-Link support to finally get this resolved in order for the Extender to work. I initially used the "chat function" for TP-Link Support and that was also a laborious process. It seems the Support representative is answering several chats as the same time so I would answer a question and then wait 2-5 minutes for a response. This took almost a half hour until we got to the "blended" issue that required resolution first. (I recommend you call TP-Link Support rather than using the Chat function if you have a "blended" router.) Once my internet provider segregated my 2.4 GHz setting, the Extender was easy to set up. As for the product itself, it has extended the range of my wireless internet to my back bedroom, but only slightly. I at least have the minimum amount (one "dot", not two or three "waves"), but it's better than no wireless at all. I tried to move the Extender another 10 feet closer to the hallway, but that was out of the range for the Extender to connect to my router. However, for $20, it does provide wireless to the back room, but the installation process was NOT "quick". ... show more

  • My Ring cam likes it
My Ring outdoor camera is on the opposite side of the house from my WiFi router. I was getting a low signal notification and couldn’t figure out why as everything else works fine. Well, the family room’s Echo devices were very slow to commands at times. I saw this and remembered that I used to have a cheap one like this one. I will bet that I still have it somewhere in the attic/home office. It was less than effective, so I abandoned the idea. Having used this name brand in the past, I decided to try it again. Setup was effortless and the low signal notification disappeared and the Echo works like the ones upstairs! I decided to use this for all of my Ring devices and haven’t had any issues! ... show more

  • Has Its Limitations
Does a great job of capturing a weak wifi signal from my house 60 feet away and rebroadcasting it inside the cabin it's placed in. On the downside: I originally placed it upstairs but it was struggling to stream on the TV downstairs (about 30 feet distance). I ended up placing it within 20 feet of the TV in the same room and it is working great. I can stream Roku on the TV and watch Youtube on my phone at the same time with no lag. Also, not understanding why, but to connect the Roku TV with the extender required me to set it up as a 'hotel' TV. It flat refused to connect to the extender any other way (I'm assuming it has something to do with the TV connecting with the extender which in turn is connected to my wifi). The problem with that is that every time internet goes down due to power loss, unplugging, etc., I have to go thru the whole process of setting up the TV again because it doesn't auto connect. I do like it for capturing weak signals, though. ... show more
