  • For the price it has good basic information
Format: Paperback
For the price I didn’t expect a Toyota maintenance manual. Good basic information and torque specs. It’s nice to have this type of information on paper.

  • Good book with excellent info.
Format: Paperback
Great book, full of good knowledge. I really think they can start doing better on the photos now. Charge more make em in color and detailed. If they go thru the work of all this they might as well record everything they are doing in tandem with the pictures n then they can sell it digitally in video format. Youtube is prob destroying these types of companies n its because they dont want to invest in themselves. ... show more

  • Finally published, this book is great!
It took awhile for someone to publish a manual on the 2nd generation Tacomas, but it's finally done. This book has saved me thousands of dollars in repair costs. I used it 2 weeks ago to instruct me on replacing my defective radiator, and used it last year to guide me when servicing the unique brake system on my Tacoma. I've also used to for step-by-step guidance on checking other things on my truck. I really appreciate the fact that this manual also gives spec's and torque settings for everything. It's an awesome manual for a great price. ... show more

  • Nice manual to have around.
Format: Paperback
Bear in mind this is nothing fancy. It has helpful information, but it is in no way a factory manual. If you really want information for any Toyota. You can rent Techstream software $65 per-day from Toyota. You will also need to purchase a Mongoose OBD2 cable as well. Thats the real deal. It has to be run on Microsoft Windows too. ... show more

  • Exactly the same as the Chilton manual
Don't be fooled into buying this manual and the Chilton manual - they are word for word identical and are published by the same publisher. Also, it is missing some key information such as the differential fluid capacity for the 2006+ PreRunner 4.0L 2WD Auto trans - this is just one example. The Chilton manual is missing the same information. I was hoping for so much more than what this manual provides. They always seem to focus on full engine rebuilds. These engines will go 250K miles with simple routine maintenance as long as they are not abused. Not many people are going to need to do engine rebuilds these days as engines are built to much tighter tolerances and hold together a very long time. Car manuals need to evolve, they have not changed format of content since the 60's or 70's. There used to be a publisher that published a manual call The Motors Manual. You would buy a Motors manual specific to you car and they were very good - nothing like that exists anymore. This manual will help you with a few things so it is not a waste just don't expect it to be very complete. ... show more

  • A gift for my Brother
I purchased the Haynes Toyota Tacoma Repair Manual after my brother expressed his desire in maintaining/fixing the driver train on his 2008 Toyota Tacoma. He is a fanatic about taking care of his vehicles and wanted to do-it-himself. So, because he lives long distance, the Haynes Toyota Tacoma Repair Manual was not received until New Year's Eve. However, he did not stop reading the manual for two days after receiving his gift from me. He loved it! ... show more

Format: Paperback
Nice manual. You need to carefully read through all sections in the chapter before beginning work since it is structured for different procedures in each section. Brake service is a good example, but all the info I needed was there as well as torque specs for various nuts and bolts.
