When I saw these, the first thought that popped into my head was "Magformers." These tiles are similar, but smaller. If you set that expectation, they are a lot of fun. In fact, I kind of like having the "mini" option for building smaller sets. Just know that you can't buy these expecting to connect them to other brand magnetic tiles. They are their own brand and size. The set comes with instructions in the Ikea style (i.e., picture instructions with no words) if you want to build a specific things but the kids just like to play with them and make their own fun designs.

Picked up the TOY Life Magnetic Tiles as a gift for a child, but it turns out that I'm enjoying them too. This is a nice-sized set with plenty of tiles and interesting shapes. The blocks themselves are a bit smaller than our other set so we don't mix them. The magnets are strong and the pieces stay together without too much trouble. So far, they've held up well to multiple building and toppling sessions (is there another way to take apart a building after you've finished?) The included guide book will get kids (and adults) thinking about how to build all the different designs based on the pictured shapes and are good starting points for even bigger projects. The possibilities are really endless with these TOY Life Magnetic Tiles.

My kids have loved playing and building with these. The magnets work well and the colors are vibrant and fun. I honestly can't tell much of a difference between these and name brand ones. This set comes with a nice variety of shapes, plus doors/windows for building structures/castles.

From the 9 year old to the 19 year old, this magnetic building kit is a hit. While the 19 year old doesn't play with them on her own, she seems to be much more willing to play with the kids when they pull out these magnets! LOL! Our doctor has a set of these, and said that they are the biggest hit on the toy shelf. After seeing my kids go back to them over and over, I decided to get a set for home. I'm very glad I did. They haven't tired of them after many hours of use.
