I bought one of these to replace a pair of grinders we’ve had for 9 years that stopped working. I put batteries in and the grinder worked. I filled them up and the grinder didn’t work. The mechanism wouldn’t grind once salt and pepper were in their chambers. I ordered a replacement figuring it was defective. The second one was supposed to be new but had clearly been used before, but I tried it anyway with the same results. I’ll be looking for a different replacement. ... show more

I absolutely LOVE this grinder but it only lasted one year. VERY disappointed! I was very careful with it. Never dropped it. It just suddenly started working intermittently and then when I changed the batteries, the motor still ran but wouldn't connect/run to the grinders.
